Volodymyr Zhukovskyy is what happens when you stop enforcing all the laws, for all the people.
If you tell one group of individuals that, for whatever reason, there are certain laws they no longer have to abide by, its not long before everybody else begins to believe that theres no reason they should be held accountable for any crimes they commit either.
Heres the deal for any society: either all the laws have to be enforced for everybody, across the board, or pretty soon theyre not going to be enforced for anybody.
The only alternative is to start repealing all the laws that are apparently optional for some people, but not others. Fairs fair, right? Isnt that what the 14th amendment is all about equal protection under the law?
Yes, I know, Volodymyr Zhukovskyy is not an American, but he is in the country legally (pending the ICE detainer of course). The problem is, with all the illegal immigrant criminals who are here getting a pass, day in and day out, on everything from identity theft to fentanyl dealing, why shouldnt Volodymyr, too, have expected all the passes he got on drunk driving, on cocaine, on heroin, on larceny, in Massachusetts, in Connecticut, in Texas?
And so he enjoyed his multiple passes, right up until last Friday afternoon, when hes accused of killing seven Americans by driving a pickup truck into a group of motorcycle riders in northern New Hampshire.
Its been called defining deviancy down, this policy of looking the other way when it comes to bad behavior, until what used to be unacceptable is normalized. An antidote to this societywide breakdown of civilization is the broken-windows theory of law enforcement: If you stop criminals when they commit less-serious offenses, maybe theyll get the idea.

The BH is like a stopped clock. It manages to very occasionally be correct.
Didn’t read the cause of this conclusion. Being the BH, it would not be illogical to conclude that they were defending some idiot liberal idea.
One law for all. No exceptions.
This principle is as American as mom and apple pie.
High time the law enforcers take it seriously.
Put through the Left-speak filter:
"And when the general population decides they've had their belly full of the double standards we in the Left have been forcing down their throats, there is going to be a lot of lamp post decorating. So we better pretend to be for the rule of law before it gets to that point".
They [laws] don’t matter then, Because the law[s] damn sure are not being applied equally. Or impartially.
Applied yes. Obeyed ... meh.
Or they work against the people.
The OJ Simpson trial should have alerted Americans to the breakdown in law.
Americans should learn the laws handicap law abiding citizens, and give an advantage to law breakers who are not held accountable. - Tom
Oh they sure matter to the untouchables who wrote the laws.

White middle class conservative men have to follow the law, but that’ll end soon... Everyone’s sick of democrat ‘victim groups’ getting passes on everything from breaking into the country to voter fraud.
They absolutely matter even if they are applied unequally. In fact Id say they matter more then.
They donlt apply law equally when it comes to gender. women get pussy passes for stuff they lock men up for, all the time. on average for the same crimes they get 67% less sentences.
