It is mindblowing how media can write this, knowing how many years Trump spoke out about the war in Iraq... It’s not Obama, my dear, else I’m sure we’d already have invaded. That’s how Democrats operate.

Good post but you responded to a statement about WMDs in Iraq by including a bunch of statements about WMDs in Iran.

Just curious. Did you mean Iran or Iraq?

I joined in 71 to keep my dumbazz out of the jungle, seems they were printing me a ticket. Instead I spent the time underway, underwater, running a Navy Nuc plant. All gave some, some gave all, it always been that way. I know a few in both groups. Don’t mean I’d recommend voting for me for anything.

NOTHING worse than saying you’re a vet when you’re not.

But I AM a big supporter of the brain injured vets because of my experience.

Poor guys.

There’s a lot of air between “self-sacrificing martyr” and someone that wants to contribute to an effort greater than themselves. Sure, people join for money for college, because their wife is gonna have a baby.... sexual reassignment. My grandfather told my dad that he joined the Army to get a decent meal....1922. He was commissioned in the field and retired a major.

I ran into plenty of folks in the military that thought they’d make better decisions than the CIC...Ronald Reagan. Still plenty of folks that think that way.

Bolton was a supporter of the Vietnam War, but purposely avoided military service in Vietnam.[37][31] During the 1969 Vietnam War draft lottery, Bolton drew number 185. (Draft numbers were assigned by birth date.)[38] As a result of the Johnson and Nixon administrations’ decisions to rely largely on the draft rather than on the reserve forces, joining a Guard or Reserve unit became a way to avoid service in the Vietnam War, although 42 Army Reserve units were called up with 35 of them deployed to Vietnam shortly after the Tet offensive in 1968–69.[39][40] Before graduating from Yale in 1970, Bolton enlisted in the Maryland Army National Guard rather than wait to find out if his draft number would be called.[41][42] (The highest number called to military service was 195.)[43] He saw active duty for 18 weeks of training at Fort Polk, Louisiana, from July to November 1970.[42] After serving in the National Guard for four years, he served in the United States Army Reserve until the end of his enlistment two years later.[5]

He wrote in his Yale 25th reunion book: “I confess I had no desire to die in a Southeast Asian rice paddy. I considered the war in Vietnam already lost.”[37] In a 2007 interview, Bolton explained his comment in the reunion book saying his decision to avoid service in Vietnam was because “by the time I was about to graduate in 1970, it was clear to me that opponents of the Vietnam War had made it certain we could not prevail, and that I had no great interest in going there to have Teddy Kennedy give it back to the people I might die to take it away from.”[44][45][46

I’d rather have an anti muslim HARD-ASS like Bolton, there as NSA Advisor than any faggoty Democrat or RINO.

Not a big fan of the Bushes, but you need to go look at Bush Sr’s military record. His TBM Avenger was hit repeatedly by flak over Chichijima while on a mission to bomb the installations there. Despite his aircraft being crippled, he continued the mission and successfully bombed several installations on the island. Lieutenant Junior Grade Bush then nursed his now burning aircraft for several miles back towards friendly forces in order to give his crew the best chance of survival (i.e., not being instantly executed by the Japanese on the island); he then had his three man crew bail out - unfortunately, one was already dead and the other man’s parachute never opened. He spent four hours in shark infested waters before being picked up by the US submarine Finback and spending a month helping rescue other downed aviators until he could be transferred back to his carrier from the sub.

This is the first round and we have a rousing discussion of the front runner(??). Wait till round 2. The Dems are going to keep this interesting. Veteran or not, we need to save the Constitution. I think, bar everything else, we all agree on that. Socialism Sucks.

Maybe, if in the act of preying on livestock. My uncle once rescued two young red tails that “caught’ a large kingsnake. It had them by the neck at either end.

“John Bolton wants War. John Bolton skipped Vietnam.”

Bill Clinton skipped Vietnam - what’s your point?

I hear you. I watch as a politics junkie, of sorts. Tomorrow should be more amusing. This is the Veepstakes for the spot on the ticket behind the real enemy. We’re easily a year away from it getting really good I fear the electorate as much as anyone that ends up on the Dim ticket.

“... John Kerry was a naval hero...”

John Kerry was an officer in the Navy; he was not a hero. He was, in fact, a coward and a murderer (shot a young Viet kid in the back).

What’s your resolution to the problem of Iran getting nuclear weapons and the missiles to hit every nation on earth with them?

Thanks in advance.

Anyone know when she resigned from the Hawaii Army National Guard? Everything i can find shows her still active. Even Ike Eisenhower had to resign to run for President.
