Irans navy chief warned the United States on Monday that Iranian forces could shoot down more surveillance drones if they violate the countrys airspace, as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo arrived in Saudi Arabia for talks with Arab allies in the Persian Gulf.
The enemy dispatched its most sophisticated . . . and most complicated surveillance aircraft to spy on Iran, and everyone saw the downing of the drone, Rear Adm. Hossein Khanzadi said Monday, referring to the U.S. Navy RQ-4A Global Hawk drone shot down by Iran last week.
The incident capped a week of tensions following attacks on two commercial tankers near the Strait of Hormuz on June 13.The United States blamed the attacks on Iran, which has denied involvement.

And they arent going to give up until they get it, either.
Precise rockets down the chimney of all leadership in Iran.
Iran is lashing out, must be the sanctions are working well.
up the chimney.
down the chimney could reduce a vacant house to rubble.
Iran has yet to grasp the concept of economic and industrial power. The US can make drones all day long, every day of the week while Iran depletes its diminishing resources striking back and languishes under US economic sanctions.
Most likely. Nothing would galvanize the country better than an external enemy and would provide a distraction from the effect of economic sanctions.
I have mixed thoughts on what US interests are.
On one hand I think our ONLY interest is to prevent Iran from developing a nuke.
On the other, I am still saddled with the philosophy that the US Navy is the only force in the world capable of keeping the Gulf open to the free flow of oil, so desperately needed by the rest of Western Civilization.
How many decades more must we carry the burden of preserving Western Civilization alone?
Is now a good time to let other Western nations feel the pain of their abject irresponsibility? Maybe.
Proportionate to that would be taking out one of their AFBs with its planes with a cruise missile attack with cluster munitions.
As Rumsfeld said, we can kill them over there, or wait until they come here, or something along those lines. I don’t remember verbatim, but that was the point.
“...Iran has yet to grasp the concept of economic and industrial power....”
Just another country run by religious totalitarian extremism. If the fanatic leadership had to deliver in the areas of economy and industry, they know their days would be numbered.
Accompany each Hawk with an assault drone; upon launch detection fire off a counterbattery salvo and take out the position.
Iran is not Iran, Iran is a toady for a coalition of countries who hate the USA.
Yes, they are asking for it because Trump screwed their economy. No matter how many drones they take down don’t respond militarily and they WILL BE SCREWED.
“Accompany each Hawk with an assault drone; upon launch detection fire off a counterbattery salvo and take out the position.”
I like that idea.
Perhaps it’s time WE closed the Gulf, let the Iranians
and everyone else see what that really means.
Right now, the Saudis control the “holy” cities,
to let them fall into the hands of the Iranians
would be to give them control of Islam with all it’s
ramifications.
But, what do I know?
Perhaps the time has come for Allah to punish the mullahs...
Crank up the sanctions until our drone is paid for X 10... France pays X 100. SA acts like grownups.
I don’t think that Iran (the regime) will put up with the status quo because their oil exports are purportedly way down and that of course destabilizes their economy and regime.
The regime knows that as individuals they are in a “no way out” situation. I know a lot of people think that “Iran” is crazy, but we are dealing with the regime. Now the regime is crazy in the sense that they deprive their citizens of basic civil rights and force them to submit to Islam under penalty of law.
But as individuals that are trying to stay in power and they know are cornered. They need to maintain their power as a condition of their personal survival. So, what do you think they will do? Surrender themselves and be tried by a court in the Hague (like Milosevic)? Quietly retire in another country where they will likely be hunted down and likely not protected because they are wanted dead or alive?
You know, it’s not like the North pardoning General Lee at the end of CW 1.
I think it’s also worth adding that Russia doesn’t want a neutral of pro-Western regime in Iran. So expect resistance on that front.
I say, instead of sanctioning, use tariffs. Let them pay 150% and just siphon the money that way. At least on some products.
Wow.
OK #### it.
Destroy em. No boots. Navy and air force.
“most sophisticated...”
They have to be the dumbest mother ####ers on the planet.
