...NOT if the 1st Class seat cost $1500 more than steerage and my employer paid for it and would expect the money back. (It’s been some years since I was a super-premium mileage flyer, but unless something has changed, airlines screw their best customers, the last minute business traveler, the worst on pricing. It’s a bizarre business model.)

Just because some so-called elite didn't plan ahead doesn't mean that he's still entitled to the best seat on the plane at some lesser peon's expense.
At it also doesn't mean that the serf is required to give up his seat because a so-called better wanted it.
What's next, Cam Newton walks to the head of the sandwich line at the airport because he's Cam Newton and doesn't think he has to wait at the end of the line to be served? Would all the other people rushing to catch a flight be racist for not letting Cam Newton cut the line to get his sandwich first?
