House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) repeatedly referred to former Trump aide Hope Hicks as “Ms. Lewandowski” during a closed-door hearing this week.
The 273-page transcript of Hicks's testimony, which was released Thursday night, reveals that Nadler referred to her by the last name of former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, before apologizing.
After she introduced herself at the start of the interview as Hope Hicks, Nadler called her “Ms. Lewandowski” three times before Hicks interrupted to correct him, according to the transcript.
“Yeah. Ms. Lewandowski, I think, in reading this — "
“My name is Ms. Hicks,” she said.
“I’m sorry, Ms. Hicks,” Nadler replied. “I’m preoccupied.”
Hicks testified for nearly eight hours Wednesday about her work in the Trump administration, though White House lawyers repeatedly blocked her from answering lawmakers' questions.
During the interview, lawmakers pressed Hicks on Lewandowski’s relationship to President Trump during the campaign and whether Trump directed Lewandowski to deliver a script to Attorney General Jeff Sessions amid special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
The script, which Mueller’s team said Hicks typed up, directed Sessions to say Trump was “being treated very unfairly” regarding the probe and that he would “meet with the special prosecutor to explain this is very unfair.”
On CNN today, however, John King was critical of Nadler over the flub, saying, “He fought to get her testimony. He knows her name is Hope Hicks… If you’re gonna make the case to the American people that you’re making serious credible investigations and you’re prepared, why be amateur and offensive?”
Sadly..., that is but a rhetorical question today!

the transcript sure reads like they are trying to catch her in a lie...otherwise, what’s the point ? their questions already have answers...
California is the same way. Get out to the metropolitan areas and it is mostly conservative.
He did that on purpose as a tactic to besmirch her.
I watched an ID show where the defense attorney pulled something like that against the dead victim and the courtroom was stunned by it but he did it on purpose to confuse them the jury.
The attorney was a snake he did not fool me neither does Nadler.
Fat-assed, horny Nadler called Hope Hicks “Mrs. Lewandowski” because he was hoping to get a mental “Lewinski” from her (in his dreams or with his hidden hand under his Chairman’s table).

when you subpoena a person and threaten her for weeks and weeks, then when she appears before you, you can't recall her name???

I tweeted to call him some names over this - ended with calling him “Miss Lewinski” and told him to get off his knees and from in front of the rabid Right...
