I know she’s 74, but I’d like to see Governor Ivey run for the seat, as she would be a shoo-in.

“...let Alabamians make the decision without the national party attempting to steer them? “

That got us a democrat senator from Alabama. Moore didn’t lose because the national committee didn’t fund him. He lost because hundreds of thousand of Alabama republicans stayed home.

Moore already lost once to Jones. How does Moore suppose to beat him this time?

It’s Alabama. Normal and reasonable are relative terms.

P.S. -- Moore made the same promise, which is why McConnell and the GOP leadership worked so hard to undermine Moore in the election.

And this might explain a few things about why the National party worked so hard to stab Moore in the back.

I’m sure Moore burned every bridge with Bannon when he took a vacation to Pennsylvania on the weekend before the election.

Well he somehow made Alabama 1/2 blue.

I guess he’s going for the other 1/2.

Idiot.

I think there are at least a half-dozen contenders who have already announced their intention to run.

That, in fact, may be a significant part of the problem.

Moore will garner at least 25% support among us in Alabama no matter who's in the primary against him, and that's quite sufficient to get him to the next round.

We're gonna need a lot of these lesser names to drop out so that there's a chance to bump Moore out early.

I'm actually annoyed that I might have to vote for Bradley Byrne, but at least he'd win next November.

Tommy Tuberville, former Auburn Tigers football head coach

Don’t know a thing about him, but I’d bet he’d be better than Moore. Jeez, a stale bologna sandwich would be better pick than Moore.

Do you blame them? By that time Moore had already demonstrated in 2006 and 2010 that he was a totally disloyal Republican in the state GOP ranks.

A primary candidate who has already gone out of his way to undermine his own party has no business complaining when they work against him later.

I’d like to send a few bucks to a sane Republican who is willing to fight Moore in the Primary, since you can’t beat “somebody” with “nobody”.

But who has the Alabama GOP recruited? Who has the Alabama GOP endorsed?

I hope that Alabama has cleansed itself of the nutty rule that allows Democrats to “vote” for the weakest candidate in the Republican primary.

THAT — IMHO— is “meddling” with an election.

The man is not fit for Federal office, never has been.

West Point Graduate. US Army officer in the Vietnam War. Put himself through Law school and had a 40 year scandal free career as a judge.

And it’s got NOTHING to do with his lust for young girls.

And you are deliberately spreading the media lies about the man. You are judging him by what the known media liars have accused him of.

He puts his personal beliefs above the law.

He puts real law above made up phoney balloney lying crap law decreed by arrogant judge bastards on the Federal Judiciary.

If you think the 14th amendment requires F@ggot marriage, you are a fool. If you think the 14th amendment bans states from displaying the 10 commandments outside of the courthouse, you are a fool.

What Roy Moore did was stand up to the lies being put forth by idiot kook Federal Judges, and I give him credit for demanding that real actual true law be applied, and not their made up phoney baloney bullsh*t.

Why on God's green earth would any conservative support federally imposed F@ggot marriage?

Or Oppose a state's right to display the 10 commandments if it so wishes?

He was found to have dated teen age girls when he was 40 something. He’s not fit for office.

Just promise me that I will never see a solicitation for campaign funds from anyone associated with Moore.

I can only make promises for myself, not for others. I would hope they would not, but the onus is on them.
