Okay, so they took out math..?
If you ask a candidate to stand on the edge of the bathtub and pee in the toilet, then that is unfair to women.
Jutendo?
I’ve never even heard of it.
Yes, it exists, but, uh...this study smells like a simple way to get their name picked up by the credulous, PC foreign media and get circulated.
Feminism and diversity don’t generally play well in Japan but the foreign media LOOOVE this type of story, they absolutely LAP IT UP.
I wonder what would happen in the US if schools/police & fire depts started doing the same thing...

In general, with wide variation at the individual level, women’s brains are 10% smaller than men’s, and they score 5% less on cognitive tests. That is reflected in traditional medical school entrance exams. The only way to have women on average score higher is to rig the exam, or handicap the boys for many years in the government schools.
Knew this would turn into a woman-bash fest.
Realize that while in some ways the Japs are very smart and good, they also have been traditionally extremely racist and sexist in general. You white American men might not appreciate that being subject to the commie PC police here, but it is true.
I’ll bet that those schools have students that are over-represented by Asians.
so 169 men passed.
Tests are rigged for as long as males outperform females.
The Guardian is an agenda-driven rag.
In the US they started rigging entrance exams for med school in 1970 when “not enough” women made the grade.
Women tend to do better than males in a school setting. It was that way when I went to school back in the 1970s. The girls in my class were on the whole better behaved, more diligent with completing their homework, and more serious about their academic performance in general.
Of course you had your exceptions. There were some girl troublemakers and there were some boys who stayed out of trouble and studied hard and diligently.
So on the whole, I'm not surprised at all to see that girls tend to outperform the boys academically.
This kind of rigging is not OK, but rigging of exam scores by race in US colleges is OK.
