Not that voters don’t give Mr. Trump a large share of the blame when asked who is responsible for “the partisanship that goes on in Washington.” In the June NBC/WSJ poll, 43% of respondents give the Trump administration “almost all” or “a major part” of the blame.

There were large organized protests on his inauguration day, literally before he did anything as President. Tell me again how he caused partisanship.

GWB was a wuss. He’s the sort of person my dad said would have been duct taped to the school flagpole. In winter. Nude.

“Let’s harken back to the gold old days..
Where we could call W, Hitler. Blame all the worlds problems on him and he and the republicans would just sit back and take it, or apologize?”

It’s always Democrats that refuse to work with Republicans. When Obama was president he shut them out of meetings completely, saying “We won, you lost”. But Democrats also accuse the other side of things they themselves are guilty of.

If Trump is so partisan, how come at least 3/4 of the GOP establishment is against him or at best luke warm to his policies?

The “partisanship” meme is entirely media manufactured.

The Democrats attack people going to Trump rally’s. It’s due to Trump being decisive.

Any protests against Hillary was due Trump being decisive.

If you didn’t support Hillary or at least shut up, you were decisive.

Only Democrats can speak. All other talk is hate speech.

Partisanship was always there. Trump exposed it.

The three sins of Donald Trump -
He denied 'rats what they crave more than normal people crave oxygen - power -
He doesn't run away and hide in the corner when attacked the way a Republican is supposed to do, but fights back always -
He challenges their favorite causes with reason and wit and without compromise......

Democrats call that partisanship......

Does the article ever get around to mentioning Bush like the title says?

WSJ articles are paywalled. So if you post one, you might write a sentence or two to explain just what the writer is saying.

If I were going to guess what his point was, I'd guess that he's saying Bush was divisive, too.

And sure, every president is divisive.

At least since Eisenhower and Kennedy (with Kennedy benefiting from Ike's popularity and the public's respect for him).
