BERLIN - Germans have voiced shock at the suspected far-right murder of a pro-migrant official, fueling debate on Tuesday on whether the country has failed to take seriously a rising threat from neo-Nazis.
Prosecutors on Monday said they suspected an extremist motive in the assassination-style shooting of Kassel city administration chief Walter Luebcke, 65, on June 2.
A suspect identified as Stephan E., 45, is in custody, with prosecutors saying he has multiple links to the far-right scene.

Good observation. I don’t condone murder either, but I am not surprised by this.
I find it a bit ironic, that some Germans are in an uproar about a political assassination, when their country raised political assassinations to an art form, just a generation ago. I don’t know, but maybe it’s possible that many Germans, were so sickened by the mass murders of the 30s and 40s, that they are very sensitive to it. I was pretty sickened by the pro Soviet attitudes too.
The politico who got killed is now a good politico. His greatest need was answered.

I am sure it has had a bad affect on all of Europe, not just Germany. The Germans also lost a number of their best and brightest when they burned the books too. Sorry bro, but I can hardly hide my disdain for Europe. The two worst wars in the history of the world, started in Europe. I got a lot more respect for the former Warsaw Pact nations than I do for Western Europe, and its sorry history.
