I dont know, but maybe its possible that many Germans, were so sickened by the mass murders of the 30s and 40s, that they are very sensitive to it.
Im sure that has something to do with it. Theres also the fact that hundreds of thousands of their best and brightest were killed in a war that they started. That has to have a deleterious effect on the genetics of the population.

I am sure it has had a bad affect on all of Europe, not just Germany. The Germans also lost a number of their best and brightest when they burned the books too. Sorry bro, but I can hardly hide my disdain for Europe. The two worst wars in the history of the world, started in Europe. I got a lot more respect for the former Warsaw Pact nations than I do for Western Europe, and its sorry history.
