Nonsense. Pure nonsense.

Iran is not currently invading my state via the Southern Border. Isn’t the Secretary of State supposed to promote America’s interests?

Wish this swamp creature would take his swamp creature neocon buddies, and just go away.

Iran has committed acts of war against us many times and suffered nothing. It is time for payback.

“MOAB”

That is a pallet dropped from a huge, lumbering cargo plane. It requires complete control of the airspace. That would not happen under the best of circumstances.

Generals usually want to avoid war.

You don't know Generals very well. Troop bleedings are HUGE career enhancers.

I have met a few generals.

How many have you met?

Most military men want to avoid war.

The idea the military pushes for war is a myth.

Wars not for America’s benefit.

Never again.

Let’s go, kick their ass

We do not have armed forces that could even come CLOSE to winning a war with Iran.

How many have you met?

I served under, worked for and with MANY both in .mil and many years afterward.

Most won't admit to liking "war" in the abstract, but everyone making a career out of the military likes a nice CIB and all the various ribbons that goes with it. Brings money, advancement and prestige.

There are some whose ethics transcend that, but it's naive to think that many of them wouldn't see this as a huge opportunity. It's Mecca to some.

They have more info than we do and more aware of the real situation and we need to trust them.

I agree totally.

That’s such a disrespectful comment. Our military commanders provide options. They have resources trained and ready to give CiC flexibility to negotiate or otherwise. No real American soldier, sailor, or airman seeks war. They fearlessly execute orders and provide all the alternatives with risk assessments of those options.

“They have more info than we do and more aware of the real situation and we need to trust them.”

I heard those exact words before Bush went into Iraq. He destroyed Iraq - and his presidency
