I have met a few generals.
How many have you met?
Most military men want to avoid war.
The idea the military pushes for war is a myth.

How many have you met? I served under, worked for and with MANY both in .mil and many years afterward.
Most won't admit to liking "war" in the abstract, but everyone making a career out of the military likes a nice CIB and all the various ribbons that goes with it. Brings money, advancement and prestige.
There are some whose ethics transcend that, but it's naive to think that many of them wouldn't see this as a huge opportunity. It's Mecca to some.

I did not meet many generals ('cause bravo: _B_). Agreed that the myth from the conspiracy theory mongers and Iranians is a myth. We don't want to start wars, but we will finish them.
Iran is trying to start a war--not the U.S.A. If the mullahs must be brought down to defend the U.S.A., it will be done. And Iran will likely be denazified.
