A Baptist pastor was arrested and jailed on Saturday after refusing to move across the street from the Spokane, Washington Public Library while exercising his free speech against a “Drag Queen Story Hour.” The event had a significant militaristic police presence, including camouflaged snipers positioned atop the roof to oversee the large crowd that stood both for and against the men dressed like women reading stories to children.

It was a rhetorical question. Of course they're not made to pay for security. They are also given overwhelming security, vs the conservatives who have to endure whistles and those who go right up to the speaker and take over their microphone, etc.

Drag Queen Story Hour is an effort by the alphabet people to indoctrinate children into normalizing their evil. Those hideous people should not be allowed anywhere near children. The parents who allow their children to participate are as guilty of child abuse as if they beat or starved their children. The library administrators are equally guilty of the same child abuse, and should be treated accordingly. It is time to stop being nice. They do not have special rights, they need to be kicked out of town forcibly. It is time to stop coddling deviance. I don’t care what the left says. This shit has to go. (Please excuse my language.)
I'm old enough to remember when boarding an airplane needed no ID and a baptismal certificate from the local church was sufficient for proof of name and age.
Was speaking with some very smart college kids about just this and the progressive-lefits-statist security state we now have. They weren't old enough to remember and experience 9/11 as it happened, but at least they understood and commented: "9/11 must have really been a watershed for the implementation of these things." I was like - UH YA THINK?!

"Should have" doesn't much matter when there are thousands of Lon Horiuchi equivalents in SWAT teams and other armed roles in US law enforcement.
They're absolutely not the majority but they're also in special roles, not working the daily routine most police work.
