Based on the way he said this...maybe it’s just me, but I think he wanted you to ‘feel’ for him as a GI, and recognize that he had something like PTSD. Maybe it was fake-PTSD but it doesn’t matter.
If he suggests this....that he might have PTSD and never got treatment, then the last job I’d want him to have is President.

He wants to establish credibility as a “disabled veteran” damaged by the hated BOOOOSH and the detestable Republicans. You HAVE to vote for him. To do otherwise is to be homophobic and to oppress the “differently abled”.
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition, and VA has specialists that deal with the problem.
Perhaps Peter Buttigieg should avail himself of these services before he gets too deep into the campaign. He may not realize the land mines or the triggers that may set him off. Having a nervous breakdown on the campaign trail is pretty difficult to explain away or spin to your favor.
