What “tariff list”?

It’s just China.

It’s not complicated.

And, those morons were served snacks by target employees and refreshments from the Starbucks located in those stores! You know...to help make their apocalypse more comfortable! These morons filmed their experience with having CASH REGISTERS go down. Seriously?

Dump the cart, walk out the door, get in your car and go somewhere else.

I been trying to recall anything I purchased there from China, but draw a blank.

I suspect you have not been paying attention. I distinctly remember buying a jacket at the Walmart after Sam Walton passed away and found the "Made in China" label in it. Since then it has multiplied in droves.

Ask yourself why Walmart wants President Trump to stand down?

Governor -

Walmart was a big supporter of the Clintons. The left hates POTUS and the left hates Walmart - they have a dilemma - the enemy of their enemy is their enemy.

Target tows the leftist line... lest we forget their bathroom policies.

FDR once told Thomas J Watson that what is good for American business may not be good for America (one of the few things I agree with FDR is that one).

China has allowed US manufacturing for the purpose of exports and stealing IP. Some US manufacturers thought they were going to get access to the billion buyers in China - and they still don’t have access, or very little. But they didn’t care as they were all too happy to send them back here with larger profit margins. I am glad to see POTUS take this on; it may not get resolved too quickly - China wants to wait him out ... hope for his defaet in 2020.

Never have understood why, but from the first moment I walked into a Super Target, I did not like it. Wasn’t product or price related, I just didn’t like the vibe for lack of a better way to explain it. Wal-Marts don’t bother me nor do Meier. Just the Targets. Now days, food is the only thing I don’t buy online.

What is he not doing? What is he supposed to do with regards to this whining?

Prices, due to the tariffs have not gone up. https://www.breitbart.com/economy/2019/06/11/tariffs-producer-price-index/

The President has been traveling to other countries in the region to make deals with them to strip China of its ability to be the #1 location for this type of manufacturing. He’s trying to get Vietnam, S Korea, India and, probably, N Korea to step in and open up their manufacturing machine to compete and bury China. Which is nothing but a bully in that region.

Investors are leaving China .... https://www.cnbc.com/2019/05/13/these-are-the-biggest-dow-losers-since-the-trade-war-escalated.html

The Uber rich are moving their money to Singapore ... https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-02-06/for-china-s-wealthy-singapore-is-the-new-hong-kong

Huawei .... one of the countries surveillance platforms is screwed ...

China is a sinking ship. It can’t feed its people. https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2019/06/chinas_food_supply_imperiled_.html?fbclid=IwAR1uhCiNsMp96DlXzaa4h9p-mOk5cW23yehcc5taUnl-12m3fEAB2rxUSm4

Not sure what else the man is supposed to do with regards to China. It seems like a lot of the pieces are falling into place. H

Either way, it’s over junk few really need.

Don't we already have 10 years worth of yard sales full of purchased Chinese junk? Maybe yard sales will be more profitable.

The "domestic issues" were corporate and executive GREED.

I didn't hear a single consumer saying, "Gee, I just HATE these reasonably-priced, very well-made tools designed and manufactured in the US. I wish somebody would drop the price by 15% and give us cheap shit that has 1/10 the lifetime and doesn't match the engineering specs."

Total BS to say everything at Walmart is from China. I’ve shopped at WM since the ‘70s and have bought many things from Europe, SE Asia, Japan, Mexico and South American countries. ...I been trying to recall anything I purchased there from China, but draw a blank.

Agreed... checking my tags. Current t-shirt is from Haiti. Shorts are from Bangladesh. Wrangler jeans from Mexico. Screw 'em. I support a trade war against those countries too. Americans give or throw away pounds of clothing every year.

I was done with them a decade and a half ago when they ran the Salvation Army off their property.

Have not spent a dime in over a decade at that disgusting pile of anti-American anti-family turd world Obammy kissing public outhouse.

Yes, yes we do! I will say this for target: they certainly know their target audience!

I swear these people couldn’t find their rear ends with both hands and a map!

Why don’t they ask China instead? Seems like the lower hanging fruit.

Nice blanket statement.

How about we make a bet? I bet I can go into Walmart, buy ten common non-food items that I actually need and none of them will be made in China. I’ll even specify that three of them are cheap plastic items. How about it? Loser donates the amount of the bet to FR?

Walmart does have a lot of stuff made in China, but they also quietly and not-so-quietly have been greatly increasing their US made content, even before Trump took office.

The problem for most Americans is that Walmart seems to undercut every grocery store in the nation. The prices are excellent and it is a draw for many poor people in my area. I refuse to buy Chinese goods/food (what an idea!) but American-made groceries are cheaper than any store around here.

30 years to drive out the companies it’ll take years to bring them back-

Agreed.

Entire ecosystems of manufacturing have vanished from America. It’s legions of material, parts and sub-system businesses, and their steady paying jobs that have disappeared.
