It was decided for US during the GHW Bush administration that this was going to be a Spanish/English speaking Hispanic majority country.
President Trump is trying, but both parties have made this project their top priority for 30 years.
Unless we throw out of office the Bush League Republicans that caused this, we will not keep our country.

Here’s a novel idea. How about the people that live in these sh$tholes, organize themselves and rebel against their governments. Make their countries better instead of exporting their diseases and malfeasance to other countries.

In the hundreds of postings here in Free Republic rarely is this brought up. It’s Known As Reciprocity. We should be treating anybody illegally crossing the Mexican border into the US the way the Mexican’s do Any American illegally .crossing into Mexico. No” free” lawyer paid by Mexican taxpayers. Entry denied heavy fine and possible imprisonment. before getting kicked out.
Also, Americans who vacation or visit these countries are often victims of crimes and thrown into one of their notorious prisons.
I just wish that President Polk, after the conclusion of the Mexican War, would have had the foresight to negotiate a better border line with Mexico. Baja California should have been included in the Treaty of Guadalupe along with a straight diagonal line from the tip of the Gulf of Baja California to just south of Brownsville TX. That would have completely eliminated all of the problems we have had with Mexico dating back to Pancho Villa.
They brought this on themselves, they’ve always shuttled illegals right thru Mexico to the US - they should have known Trump wouldn’t put up with this. Sucks to be them.
All the more reason to close the border. Drugs have ruined a generation here in the US - thanks again Mexico and Central America, it's not only the illegals, it's the drugs.
I for one am happy this is happening to Mexico. They’ve been violating our border with arrogant impunity. I haven’t forgotten May 1, 2006 when thousands of Mexicans marched in streets all across the country waving their damn flag and yelling “Si se Puede’’ (”Yes We Can!’’) I hate Mexico.
