After nearly 10 hours of deliberation Thursday, a Chester County Court jury found Clayton P. Carter III guilty of first-degree murder in the death of his next-door neighbor George Brooks Jennings in August 2017. ---SNIP---

Carter’s attorney, Joseph P. Green Jr., said Jennings repeatedly provoked Carter as part of a campaign to get Carter — a former mobile home park operator Jennings called “trailer trash” — to move out of the neighborhood.

He showed jurors a photo of Jennings’ backyard shed, in front of which he displayed several Trump-Pence 2016 signs facing Carter’s yard in an attempt to irritate Carter a year after the election, Green said

The news has whitewashed the cold blooded murder of a Republican Committeeman by an "anti Trump activist" (bernie bro)

On one hand the press and police are claiming it is not politically motivated but part of his defense is claiming that the Trump signs enraged Carter to the point of murder.

I’ve legally carried for the last 29 years and have never had actually to display, let alone point or discharge, my weapon in anger. It’s imperative, when carrying, NOT to go deliberately into harm’s way lest things get out of hand and one finds himself where this guy is now.
