DUBAI—Two tankers were damaged in attacks off the coast of Iran early Thursday, including one operated by a Japanese company, on a day when Tehran rebuffed attempts by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to ease a military standoff with the U.S.
The incidents sent oil prices sharply higher, reigniting fears of trade disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, through which over a third of the world’s seaborne crude oil is shipped. Brent crude, the international benchmark for crude prices, rose 4% on Thursday to $62.37.
The attacks appeared to use relatively sophisticated weapons, according to early assessments, and came within roughly 45 minutes of each other in the Gulf of Oman, where four tankers were attacked last month in an incident the U.S. blamed on Iran, which Tehran denied. The U.S. military has built up its military presence in the Persian Gulf in response to what American officials said were threats from Iran, sending an aircraft carrier, the USS Abraham Lincoln, and its strike group to the region.

There is no reason on God’s green earth that Iran would invite a war with arbitrary attacks of no military significance. There is both a long list of reasons, and a long history, of the Saudis and CIA wanting this.
And there is a very good reason the CIA would want it right now, and that is the rapid unraveling of Spygate. The CIA may never have needed a distraction as much as it needs one at this very time.

Israel is a secular socialist state, not to be confused with the Israel of the Bible. They can do bad things just like anybody else. Even the right wing ones, who are more religious, are not that great, since Judaism teaches Jesus is burning in a vat of feces and that gentiles are basically subhumans who may be freely abused.

Actually, Israel has probably killed quite a few Iranians in bombing Syria. We should just let it go. Not our war or in our interests at this point.

I found an article the other day and it was discussing a possible war with Iran but guess what? That article was from about 2007, 2009... so when people have said we’ve wanted a war with them, it might be something like that.
