U.S. Women’s Soccer Captain Megan Rapinoe Refuses to Sing National Anthem During World Cup

U.S. Women’s National Soccer team co-captain Megan Rapinoe refused to sing the national anthem during Tuesday’s World Cup game in France, only six days after the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Rapinioe stood silent with her arms behind her back as the rest of the U.S. team placed their hands over their hearts and sang the Star-Spangled Banner ahead of Tuesday’s game in Reims, France.

I was actually glad when Japan beat them in the WC Final a few years back.

Was once a major US Womens' Soccer fan, took my daughters to see their prev World Cup games.

That ended when the America-hating ingrate Rapinoe chose to kneel in solidarity w Kaeperkick about 2 years ago, and the team members seemingly had no issue with this.

I, as well, hope the US team either sends America-hating Rapinoe off the team, or does not win further; they do not represent our fine Country.

Women’s soccer, like women’s basketball, rugby, lacrosse, etc. etc. are just a bunch of Title IX sports foisted on the rest of the world by the US/International sports authorities in the name of gender equity. Women in third world countries are much more concerned with having enough to eat and a decent place to live to waste their time training for some bullsh*t sport created to satisfy the US politically correct mob.

It is absurd to even call this competition. Only in the US do these women enjoy the opportunity for such self-indulgence and are then portrayed by the media as sports heroes (or heroines). The undeveloped countries of the world field a team for this charade to avoid being labeled by the US as bigoted or lacking “diversity and inclusion.” What a joke.
