WASHINGTON Justice Department officials intend to interview senior C.I.A. officers as they review the Russia investigation, according to people briefed on the matter, indicating they are focused partly on the intelligence agencies most explosive conclusion about the 2016 election: that President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia intervened to benefit Donald J. Trump.
The interview plans are the latest sign the Justice Department will take a critical look at the C.I.A.s work on Russias election interference. Investigators want to talk with at least one senior counterintelligence official and a senior C.I.A. analyst, the people said. Both officials were involved in the agencys work on understanding the Russian campaign to sabotage the election in 2016.
While the Justice Department review is not a criminal inquiry, it has provoked anxiety in the ranks of the C.I.A., according to former officials. Senior agency officials have questioned why the C.I.A.s analytical work should be subjected to a federal prosecutors scrutiny. Attorney General William P. Barr, who is overseeing the review, assigned the United States attorney in Connecticut, John H. Durham, to conduct it.

Oh, his “happy face.”
It does appear that “it has provoked anxiety” is a bit of an understatement.

And it usually showed in some way.

Barr’s interview is not the only time he’s raised the issue of the Obama administrations failure to respond to Russian attempts at election interference. During her hour-long interview last week of Attorney General William Barr, CBS This Morning journalist Jan Crawford focused mainly on Special Counsel Robert Muellers investigation of President Trump. She also, however, questioned Barr on the Department of Justices (DOJ) efforts to ensure that Russian attempts to interfere in our elections are not repeated in 2020.
This revealed the attorney general is probing a second scandal of the Obama administration related to the 2016 presidential election. Or it would be regarded as a second scandal if it garnered more attention: Why the Obama administration failed to forcefully respond to intelligence of Russian interference in our elections.

CIA could not prevent 9/11, had no idea USSR and Eastern Bloc were about to collapse, still hiding info on JFK assassination and cover-up...
Instead, they get involved in domestic politics, which they never should have been involved with. Horrible people.
Its obvious that the DOJ is asking some direct questions about how anyone at the FBI/CIA was able to conclude anything about the alleged hack of the DNC when nobody was allowed to inspect it.
He’s definitely not looking forward to talking with Mr. Waterboard.
They think they are above the law. This must really piss them off.
Whatever
“why the C.I.A.s analytical work should be subjected to a federal prosecutors scrutiny”
Because that’s probably the best way to actually determine how full of sh*t you are.

It seems the deep state is due for an anal probe.
I just heard on Hannity that “whistleblowers” are coming forward. They believe that Barr is the real deal.
