I think Alaska requires that all meat be packed out before the head can be removed from the field. You could be killed going back for it. Better to take everything at once.

PETA is doing a lot of horrible crazy crap (as are other AR freaks). They recently were at a dog show where they unplugged the power to RVs (where people keep their dogs crated) in order to kill the dogs (they were caught so no dogs died), they are trying to ban all dog sports that involve other animals (field trials, hunting, earth dog) etc.
If they have their way we won’t be able to own animals.
Think I’ll go cruelly harass some sea creatures tomorrow...and possibly have a good dinner.
Sometimes when we were doing shore bombardment close to the beach with both 5”/38 mounts rotated 90* and firing at once, the concussion from the gunfire would kill all the fish and snakes near the hull and they would float to the surface. Concussion grenades work great for fishing, too.
Next they will be telling us that plants feel pain when we chop them down, cook and eat them! And I suppose eggs and milk are, by extension, off limits, because we don’t have a right to force cows and chickens to work, even if we don’t eat them anymore.

(I also have a Hawg Hunter rod that spans two zip codes.) Now go back to eating your bowl of berries and granola, Euell Gibbons.
