The ignorant ‘RATS have been watching too many movies showing “whispering” guns equipped with suppressors.
I have heard suppressed automatic pistols where the report of the weapon is virtually silent and all that could be heard was the action of the slide.
Suppressing a rifle cuts down on the report of the round, not the supersonic projectile coming from the business end.
I’ve watched a lot of James Bond movies. I know exactly how quiet a silencer makes a gun.
Next step will be requiring gun manufacturers to insert a computer chip in all guns that will cry “I am about to fire!” whenever you put your finger on the trigger and “BANG!” whenever you fire.
Industry leading full-size 9mm suppressors get down to the mid-low 120s in dBs. Nowhere near “silent.”
Face it, facts mean nothing to the typical American.
They have seen enough Movies and read enough NYT Articles to know that Silencers make less noise than a Kid using a Peashooter.
Best demonstration of a silenced machine pistol is in the movie “From Paris With Love” where John Travolta shoots up a restaurant. All you hear is the pistol cycling.

The guy killed people.
There’s a law against that. He was willing to sacrifice his own life or the rest of his life in prison to break that law.
He broke a number of other laws that had severe penalties.
Now the Leftists want us to believe new “reasoned” laws would do the trick.
You got to salute their dedication to ignorance.
A friend of mine used the Hush Puppy when he was on mission and they required near silent execution of the firearm. I have heard several of these and they were quiet. Not silent, as I mentioned, but good enough to prevent their mission from being compromised.
We are always one law away from perfection.
Isn’t that the truth.
And sadly, too many Republicans buy into that logic.
I’ve still got my old FIREPOWER magazines from the 1980s which showed how to make a “silencer” from a two liter pop bottle. The article said it worked well for a few rounds.
I remember seeing adds for a screw on devise for them. I believe the ATF now requires a $200 tax for that small plastic piece.

If you really want a SILENT gun then don’t change your gun, change your AMMO.
Subsonic ammo doesn’t cost that much more than regular ammo, but sounds about as loud as a pellet gun.
And Our RINO reps always on the defensive, if even.
Repubs, in response to VA Beach, should be proposing an end to gun free zones and constitutional carry.

After Charlottesville, where one scared kid ended up scaring another scared woman into a heart attack and dying, the Left went apes**t and called for the genocide of white males. They incarcerated at least two people and wanted to do more. All we heard about was how evil White Males are.
So now one black guy goes on a violent rampage at work killing a dozen people and it’s the silencer’s fault?
Gee. Imagine if he’d been white. What would they be saying?
We all know. Kill Whitey! Ban all guns for white males! Drive them from these shores, and leave the keys to all the big buildings and airports and power plants behind!
