You’re missing the point. The fact that in Minnesota muslims are given deferential treatment to begin with. His being a cop means he got that on top of being a cop.

The gist of the article is that Noor's family is whining that he was singled out for prosecution/persecution for being a Somali Muslim. The fact that the city fast-tracked Noor into the Police Dept. (even though he was incompetent) in the name of diversity because he was a Somali Muslim makes it relevant.

Things like this are why the public is becoming more and more estranged from its police forces. The po-po seem to have forgotten that they are “civilians” too, but entrusted with the enforcement of laws enacted BY CIVIL AUTHORITIES!

Agreed... many folks here want to make this a racial thing... when if anything the racisms involved was probably pushing within the police administration to get muslim immigrant beat cops on the street even though they weren’t capable, ready or prepared... Much like the navy putting women in jets when they should have washed out not all that long ago.. just to have a woman pilot and wound up with her killing herself.

I do not believe this man, shot that woman because he hated whites or non muslims.... he shot her because he was put in a position he was not prepared for or capable fo doing. “Diversity Uber Ability”....

If you want to get MAD at someone over this, get mad at the system that “needed” this guy in a uniform over making sure their police force was capable and qualified.

Get MAD at the PD mechanism that tried to shield him, after this event.

You don’t hand a 3 year old a loaded gun, and then get mad at the 3 year old when it kills someone.

Sad thing is, NO ONE who was involved in giving this guy a gun and a badge and putting him on the street, simply to satisfy some PC quota, will pay the price for him killing that woman.
