I’m almost 66. We have chickens. :)
What people don’t really get is that food is ridiculously cheap. And the needs of the elderly are minimalist, to say the least. I love steel cut or course rolled oats. It’s very healthy and costs a few cents per serving. Salt and sugar and water. No milk.
This never happened under Bulack Hussein???
I seem to understand that this is a result of many poor choices that were made and left for the taxpayers to clean up. From cradle to grave, I guess.
the US.... where the poor are obese.
HA...my husband says we qualify for Senior food assistance, or whatever, cause we are hungry nearly every night when we retire....but, then we quit eating about 5 or 6pm....by morning...not so hungry. Helps keep the weight off for us.
Leftist social engineering. Women are the bedrock of the family, and the family of society. Many followed the siren song of feminism, materialism and corporate America
Too bad. Remember to keep voting democrat.
I found out eggs are fifty cents a dozen near where I live. 90 calories and huge health benefits, for less than a nickel.
The people that don’t have it so good are the poor, who live in food deserts. It’s fast food or no food. Expensive and unhealthy.
Have you ever watched someoene play Grand Theft Auto? There are lots of different neighborhoods in it and it is a microcosm of the LA area. When you drive down Sunset blvd everyone is HWP.
Then when you go south of the city, in the “poor” area, most of the women are black, fat, slobs. It’s amazingly, um, non-PC - and highly realistic.
The problem of senior hunger began at noon, Jan 20, 2017. What took them so long to run the story?
Yep, a Republican must be in the White House.
I read somewhere recently the average American adult could not pay cash in the event of an emergency costing $1000.
I find that amazing!
Can’t we just enslave our Children in perpetual debt to pay for our wants??
If you know how to cook from scratch, using staple ingredients, it is possible to eat well for relatively little money.
That’s how my mom did it. We had a large family, and for much of that time my dad was not making a whole lot of money.
I get eggs at Kroger for 85 cents a dozen, even less if they’re on sale. I get milk for $1.49/gallon. I have almost no appetite (that’s a bad thing) but I could easily survive on less than $5/day for food.
Hippies for handouts.
I think this article is Fake News.
and suffer from the diseases associated with obesity!
