The people that don’t have it so good are the poor, who live in food deserts. It’s fast food or no food. Expensive and unhealthy.
Have you ever watched someoene play Grand Theft Auto? There are lots of different neighborhoods in it and it is a microcosm of the LA area. When you drive down Sunset blvd everyone is HWP.
Then when you go south of the city, in the “poor” area, most of the women are black, fat, slobs. It’s amazingly, um, non-PC - and highly realistic.
In the South, Publix delivers groceries to your home for a very small fee... A dozen eggs, bacon, bread, butter, cereal, yogurt and donuts delivered it MUCH cheaper than 'breakfast' at McDonalds for 5 mornings...

And whose fault is that? Retailers know that if they open up in those areas they will be robbed blind by shoplifters, not to mention armed robbery. Why should they put their profitability and their employees well being at stake to help losers who do not deserve or appreciate it?
A couple of of years ago Trader Joe’s was going to open a store in a poor area of Portland, OR. Local “community leaders” demanded that bribes be paid. TJ said “NO” and cancelled the project. Those Germans knew they were doing them a favor and were not going to put up with that in return.
