Because stripping the SC would give the Dhimmicrat congress fodder for Obstruction of Justice.
I don’t know, but hopefully he is learning that is fate is sealed. Maybe he is recieving very personally disturbing info with this clearance?
The question is why do the "elements" still have their jobs?
It's long past time to clean house.
May still have the clearance, but likely not granted the access because he no longer has a need to know. Most probable is his access has been administratively downgraded to essentially none. If no use of his clearance in a couple of years, he would have to go through a reinvestigation, but without a need to know, he won’t get one. Easier than trying show cause and having the clearance revoked.
For intents & purposes, the Communist b@$t@rd is dead in the water.
Why does he still have his head?
To give bloggers something to worry about.
“”” From the tone and tenor of the Times report, you get the impression that Brennans clearance was never revoked, and that elements within the deep state deliberately refused to follow the presidents order to do so.
Thats exactly what happened, according to Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), who says he witnessed the order first hand.
What do you think about this recent New York Times story that Brennan still has his security clearance? CNN host Brianna Keilar asked Paul Wednesday evening during an appearance on the little-watched network.
People talk about the Deep State, now the Deep States actually protecting their own and not listening to the Presidents orders, Paul said.
I was sitting in the White House when President Trump said I want his security clearance taken and I saw the order given. I saw the Chief of Staff was there, not the current Chief of Staff, the previous Chief of Staff. “””
Can probably thank John Kelly
On Thursday The New York Times published a report noting that Attorney General William Barr would be professionalizing the effort against the intelligence community (the deep states core element) after POTUS Donald Trump somewhat clumsily last year to revoke the security clearance of the former C.I.A. director who played a role in opening the Russia investigation.
You know what else is somewhat clumsy? That sentence. Needs a verb after POTUS Donald Trump. Tried? acted?
What does “somewhat clumsily tried” mean anyway. Does the president have the power to revoke a clearance and if he issues an order to do so, why is it a clumsy try? Why isn’t it just plain old insubordination?
As a point of order, he doesn’t “still” have a security clearance, the second the CINC gave the order, he no longer has a security clearance. Period, full stop.
The question becomes whether he is currently unlawfully accessing classified material, and adminstratively whether subordinates failed to follow up with their duties after a lawful order. A “whiff of the grapeshot” so to speak, is long overdue in government “service”.
Wankers
They can only pull a security clearance for cause, and there is an appeal process, etc. Pushing back would take a year +.
Agreed, the question is access, how do you get into secured buildings. Ya need a pass. That can be restricted on a need to know basis.
However, there are many, many depositories for classified intel that have minimal access restrictions if you have the right clearance.
I think it was yesterday when Sen. Ron Paul was on one of the programs when this Brennen matter came up and Paul said he was with the President when he gave the order that the clearance be removed. Apparently one of his staff refused.
