When I first heard this, I thought the person referred to was Senator Susan Collins of Maine, and the immediate response was “WHAT!?!”
It took a few seconds to sort out the error, but this clearly was a murder of some twisted motive.
I know it’s Arkansas, but how decomposed could a body get in a day or two?

Without any knowledge of this woman beyond the headline, I'm going to predict that she said something against @ueers, and the murderer or murderers will be @ueers.

Most of the time a woman is murdered it is her husband or her ex husband, but the gay mafia is insane, and might be moved to murder someone if they are sufficiently outspoken.
A lot of @ueers are extremely impulsive and reckless.
But in this case, I think it was someone who was/had been close to her.
According to one of the comments at the article, she apparently got her ex husband thrown out as a judge for using city computers to look at ch*ld pron.

This is just awful.
If shots were heard a day or two, before the discovery of the body, by neighbors-why didn’t anyone call the police?
Anybody with any potentially damaging info on a politician or other powerful individual needs to have multiple copies of the info held by trusted individuals in different locations and a dead man’s switch in place.
Far too many people get offed when they have details about wrongdoings, only to have those details disappear.
Not saying that’s the case in this particular instance, but comments upthread indicate it may potentially be a factor.
