Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) took aim at the National Rifle Association on Sunday during her town hall on Fox News. She set herself up to be this strong proponent of gun control laws and legislation. In fact, she criticized the NRA and made a number of false statements about the pro-gun group. She also seemed to forget that before she ran for the Senate, she wrote a letter to the NRA, praising the group for their work to protect the Second Amendment. In that letter, she said she wanted to work with the pro-Second Amendment organization.
Suddenly she's doing a complete 180, calling the group the "worst organization in this country." She also pushed the false narrative that the NRA "sells guns" to people. She must have missed the memo: the NRA represents the average gun owner, not gun manufacturers. In fact, the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) is the firearms industry trade association. That group represents gun manufacturers.

The first eight minutes were all I could take. I switched over to drag racing.
RuPaul’s?.................
When explaining her change from pro to anti gun she said, “growing up at thanksgiving Mom didn’t only make the turkey, she shot the turkey”.
Hardest I’ve laughed in a long time, then shut it off.
She was talking about the NRA. I left the room, used the bathroom, walked outside and checked on the grill, poured myself a beer, went back outside and adjusted the grill, walked back into the room, and she was still talking about the NRA.
Hoping you washed up before grillin'. =;^)
In 1976, the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police wrote a position paper regarding firearms laws and in it, described universal registration as “administratively unrealistic and unworkable” and went on to say “the licensing, registration, and serialization of firearms will not act as a deterrent to violent and will not necessarily identify the person perpetrating the crime”. Also, the paper states “cessation of firearms sales will not remove them from those who can do violence”.
Do people here remember senior American law enforcement officials expressing similar sentiments back at about the same time? Seems the debate today could benefit greatly if these ideas were publicly expressed again.
American chiefs of police saying that they want Americans armed? You cannot be serious.
She is a domestic enemy, an enemy of the 2nd amendment, and my personal enemy.
Born dumb!
As dumb as they come...dumb!
Not dumber than some, dumb...
But dumber than all!
Just a straightforward question and she could not even remain seated. Started walking around with her hand in the air doing the “speak to the audience” thing instead of just answering the question by speaking to Chris.
Got as far as the “mom had a 4 y.o. killed by stray bullets” bit and turned it off for a while.
Came back and Chris was going through her 180 on the NRA as soon as she hit DC.
BTW, at that point I noticed during the pullback shots, the main camera that she was facing every time she hopped up to do her “speak to the audience” thing, had a teleprompter on it.
Fake, phony, insincere, pandering prog trash.
.
Oh yes, thoroughly washed and dried my hands, and she was STILL talking about the NRA. For all I know, she still is.
“mom had a 4 y.o. killed by stray bullets” Well, I’m probably above the mean but I’ve known 6 folks who have committed suicide with firearms and one negligent discharge death. Some pretty close. Doesn’t change my feelings about the 2nd one iota. Also a running car closed garage scenario and an intentional OD.
I dont like her voice. It is not as bad as AOC, but close.
My first question to any DemocRat, particularly one from “born alive” NY, would be, What is it about killing babies that you enjoy the most?
She would lie about that, too, like she lied about the NRA, but I’d like to see her answer it.
