At least 11 people were killed after a gunman opened fire at a municipal building in Virginia Beach, Virginia, police Chief James Cervera told reporters Friday night.
The shooter also is dead, Cervera said.
The shooter was a public utilities worker, he said.

I have to wonder if this perp was terminated and a screwup was covered up, because his credentials were not revoked, thus, allowing him re-entry.

12 people were killed. 12 people who had lives in a community, children, spouses, parents, hopes, and dreams. We know nothing about them other than they were in the wrong place at the wrong time when a madman brutally murdered them for some reason we will never understand.
Pity and sadness, as you have shown, is appropriate for such a loss regardless of politics. It is not inappropriate to point out the hypocrisy of the media who grab onto that which supports their agenda and ignores that which does not, but NONE of us should forget the horrible loss suffered by many in our disgust over politics.

Saw this from this morning saying the perp had a surpressed .45 pistol:
“He came armed with a .45-caliber handgun with a sound suppressor on it and shot one victim in a vehicle outside before entering the building. The rest were shot inside.”
Was it modified other than the “silencer”? How many mags did he have? Was he that proficient or was he that close to the folks he shot?

This really goes to show how poorly trained people are for an active shooter scenario. Most training tells you to go gather in a conference room and try to block the unlockable door or put your head under your desk and wait to be shot.

Besides, blacks usually just target someone they know who did them wrong, or others who simply get caught in the crossfire, not meaning to shoot them. Usually they KNOW their intended victims. It’s very personal.
