That is an excellent point! As a woman who had 4 children, I can also tell you that as soon as you feel that child moving inside you, it's clear this is a human being, an infant, a live person. That a woman could abort a child in the 2nd or 3rd trimester is completely unbelievable to me!

I remember grabbing one of my son's foot and he yanked it back in the 8th month. Try and tell me that is not a separate human being!

Interesting the dynamics, this governor(D) doing this. I agree with your thoughts.

As for your other thought about the South drifting into our column, I think it was more like Nixon that accomplished that in 1968

Well, that was my take on it, but these maps seem to indicate the big crack came in 64 with Goldwater. Then it reverted until years later, 1972 to be exact. Now wild cards Wallace, Carter, and even Clinton didn't help any. It actually didn't settle completely until 1980, with Reagan's first General Election win. Then Clinton made some reverse headway.

Check out these voting map graphics: (just for informative purposes, it's interesting...)

1956 Eisenhower

1960 Kennedy

1964 Johnson

1968 Nixon

1972 Nixon

1976 Carter

1980 Reagan

1984 Reagan

1988 GHW Bush

1992 Clinton

1996 Clinton

2000 GW Bush

2004 GW Bush

2008 Obama

2012 Obama

2016 Trump

Wow! Those are indeed interesting graphics. Thanks for posting!

I suggest Eisenhower because he was the first canidate with an 'R' next to his name make inroads into the South (Tx, LA, Fl (Stevenson split the vote, IMO)). Of course, it didn't hurt that Eisenhower was born in Texas.

From your voting maps, I'm surprised by Nixon's complete support in the South during his second run for office. I also agree with your 'wildcard' assumptions. Given Nixon's large popularity at the time, it's almost unbelievable that he was forced out of office, and for what?!

Kennedy, Carter, and Johnson, are reasons why the South turned against the Democratic party, and went Republican, IMO. Though mild by comparison with Democrats today, Kennedy was largely hated by southern voters at the time.

The South is still the "bible belt". In most instances it will vote for a candidate who most aligns with its principles, or is a native son/daughter, as opposed to NYC voting against its native son, Trump.

Interesting dynamics indeed.

Thanks.

This is a topic that comes up from time to time, and I’ve been a little off base with it over the years.

I may post that with small map graphics at some point. It would be nice to see them right next to each other on the screen.

It will require me to remake one of those graphics, that fell out. It was the 2012 one.

Didn’t want to take the time to edit and post that one map to my site at the time.

Great. And those will be the states where their paychecks get slammed the hardest. I want to say that the 2014 Super Bowl, at the Meadowlands, there were stories about how much the players were going to take home. And it was insane what New Jersey was going to take from them for the 4 or 5 days the players, etc were there. It was almost 50%, if I’m not mistaken.

A few years of that and they’ll either lobby for a special carve out or put out a press release that they’ll be back in Atlanta and are working with Pro-Life groups to educate the public on a women’s right to choose.

It’d be nice if they legitimately left Georgia, as far as I’m concerned. Unless they absolutely have to be in the state for some reason, like say to film at the World of Coca Cola, they can do their sh*t someplace else. Only reason they’re in any of these cities and states is because they’re all Right To Work and don’t have to abide by union rules. Once again, more hypocrisy from the Left.

I call on the overwhelming bipartisan majority of legislators who voted for it”

Maybe a number that was well above this Governors veto attempt ??

A bit of work, but it would be an awesome tool for future reference! For now, I've BM'd your list above.

IMHO, there are a lot of things we could do, as a nation, to insure its continuation, but none will ever be more important than ending sanctioned murder of our most innocent citizens.

It's the one thing that will, and has brought down the wrath of the Almighty on such people.

Football? You mean the exciting international sport, or the completely dysfunctional American sport by the same name? Watch referees and players talk a lot. Watch players take knees. Watch half-time. Watch more referees and players talking. That football?

I agree with that.

Thanks for the mention of the usefulness of those links.

Not sure why I didn’t do it before.

Take care...

Wow. I would guess Democraps will now kick him out of the party. They don’t stand for this unlike Republicans where a far left radical like John McLame could call himself a Republican.
