On June 10th, the United States will impose a 5% Tariff on all goods coming into our Country from Mexico, until such time as illegal migrants coming through Mexico, and into our Country, STOP. The Tariff will gradually increase until the Illegal Immigration problem is remedied,..
....at which time the Tariffs will be removed. Details from the White House to follow.
(Excerpt) Read more at twitter.com ...
5% is nothing-won’t come close to what the illegals are costing the taxpayers.
Fine forget the remittances...You did not answer, but perhaps you are an expert...
I will say tho that it is ironic how I am not supposed to feed Mexico by not buying a few avocados or other tarriffed goods, yet we are feeding the cartels and their drug trade by allowing hundreds of thousands to cross with cartel coyotes at $7,000-$10,000+ per person...
I am asking for a National Emergency to be declared and troops put on the border or national guard. We are sending them to the middle east, yet we cannot protect our own border? It is a security threat...The drugs, terrorists crossing undetected, etc...A National Emergency...Is that not what Eisenhower and Bush did? Declare an emergency to stop a threat?
I am asking that military judges be reassigned to the border to process the throngs being caught and released.
What is happening is inaction and we are losing our country.
Guess we will just have to disagree...
You need to read the whole thing...
Probably a bad economic move. Hope this is temporary.
Agreed
Looks like the Mexicans want to discuss bending the knee.
Total economic collapse and massive civil unrest beginning in just weeks can do that...
IN JUST FOUR HOURS....
BREAKING: After Trump threatens tariffs, Mexico’s President Lopez Obrador asks Trump to have U.S. officials meet with the Mexican foreign minister in Washington on Friday to seek a solution that benefits both nations - Reuters

All good ideas, but not much chance they will be implemented.
I think the final straw for the president was the video of a thousand illegals crossing the border the other night at a single location, forget where.
Bad for who???
The way President Trump has revamped the American economy, this move will not slow it down much...It WILL blister the Mexican economy...
When you hear liberals screaming about it, you know that means it was the right thing to do...
The “professional politicians” say it is a mistake and the two parties should get together and discuss a compromise...That’s ALL politicians want to to do...Talk, talk, talk...Speech, speech, speech...They LOVE to hear themselves orate...Does nothing, but gives them air time...
Trump, on the other hand, DOES something...That’s what drives the liberals crazy...His actions create change and that change is good for America...
Here come the judge, here come the judge...
The democrats think that's manna from above... That's how they sedate, support and keep their base in line..
Thank you for the correction.
Praise God (YHVH)!!!
Now that is leadership, finally.
Wait until the media starts reporting the abuses by the Mexican government on the invaders. Trumps fault, must let them through.
Um, we already did stop foreign aid to Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. Not sure about Mexico.
Just in case any of the LibTards in your life start whining about this, just remember to point out that their god, 0bama, imposed tariffs and filed a TON of Tattle-Tale cases on other countries via the WTO.
For example: China, the EU, Guatemala, India, The Philippines, Argentina, et al.
The United Steel Worker’s Union, the United Auto Worker’s Union, AFL-CIO, and Democrats and RINOs APPLAUDED his actions and it ‘created’ a whole 1,000 jobs!
*SNORT*
Anyhow, here you go:
Nope.
Tariffs are an import tax paid by the importer not the exporter.
American companies will pay the tariffs on Mexican imports just the same as they are paying the tariffs on goods from China.
only until they find another supplier outside of mexico. then prices will harmonize back down.
and btw same for china
