These people should be leaving office walking, not on a gurney with a sheet draped over them.

And Mitch McConnell will still cheat to get him re-elected.

Capitol Hill ought to be renamed Cemetery Hill.

A career overshadowed by the fact that he bitterly clung to power and engaged in voter fraud to get a last term. Very shameful. Prayers for his soul.

He was one of the early conservatives in the Senate. Over time what was considered ‘conservative’ when he was elected has evolved and he might not fit today’s definition, but he was conservative when conservative wasn’t cool.

I'll never forget the primary in which Chris McDaniel challenged him, where they have the runoff if nobody gets over 50% of the vote. Chris McDaniel won the initial 3-way vote, but only had 49.5% while Cochran had 45%. A 3rd candidate who got the remaining few percent. But then the RINO-run, Deep State-affiliated senate campaign committee came in HUGE for Cochran, running ads all over the state. In addition, the runoff election for the primary was open to all registered republicans, even if they didn't vote in the initial primary election. This is important. Furthermore, the Democrat candidate would have no chance in the general, so the GOP primary was essentially the race for the senate. Back to the runoff prep: The RINO's ran ads in deep-blue black areas essentially calling McDaniel a racist, and propped Cochran's record, and urged voters to register as Republican and vote for Cochran. Coupled with the massive conventional RINO Deep State ads to Republicans, Cochran eked out a win in the runoff that analysts said would have comfortably gone to McDaniel had Cochran not got a bunch of NEW crossover votes, most notably from the urban areas. THIS is Cochran's legacy in my mind: a dirty politician who used his RINO credentials to play Democratic Party politics to keep his seat. This was the trigger point for me to cede the fact that the country is lost without major upheaval that a Trump presidency cannot overcome on its own.
