I wouldn’t mind the gurney and sheet provided that it followed a short descent through a trap door, or a quick elevation towards a high tree branch.
My previous tag line was from G.K. Chesterton:
“It is terrible to contemplete how few politicians are hanged.” - The Cleveland Press, 3/1/21
Their is nothing respectable or honorable about our current politicians. They don’t deserve statesmen status.
There is an old Bloom County strip with a dialogue that went more or less like this:
Q. What is a statesman?
A. A dead politician
We need more statesmen.
Lol. Excellent.
If Truman were still alive and someone asked him about the difference between a politician and a statesman, he would recycle the famous definition he gave in a speech on April 11, 1958:
Speaking that day to the Reciprocity Club in Washington, D.C., the then-retired president said: A statesman is a politician whos been dead ten or fifteen years.
He “died” about 4 years ago.

I get you now but MS is a great state overall. I have wonderful memories as a Northerner.
May he REST IN PEACE, with Jesus.

Another Reason to have Term Limits...
I thought he was already spending a year dead for tax purposes.

Ever since our daughter began college there, we have had interesting and worthwhile experiences there. I’m from California. If you had told me a few years ago that MS was going to be significant for our family, and that I was really going to enjoy my visits there, I would not have believed it. But that’s how it turned out.
