Bob Mueller Runs and Hides in Eight Minutes to Avoid Having to Answer One Key Question
PJ Media ^ | May 29, 3019 | Roger L. Simon

Robert Mueller's eight- to nine-minute statement Wednesday morning at the DOJ was designed for one thing only: to avoid having to answer one key question in his testimony. When did you know there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia?

If the answer, as many, including Andrew C. McCarthy, are indicating, is somewhere in Fall 2017, what in the Sam Hill was Mueller doing putting the country through two years of prolonged agony? It's not likely he did all this to prop up CNN's faltering ratings.

Was it, just by chance, to induce obstruction from one Donald J. Trump who -- like a relatively normal person but with a shorter fuse than most, justifiable in this case -- would react like a stuck pig to being falsely charged for so long? That would have been essentially entrapment.

Further, Mueller's hiding behind the canard that he could not charge a sitting president on obstruction makes a mockery of his initial assertion that there was no collusion. Most of us can't have it both ways. But I guess Mueller can. Or has. I leave it to Jerrold Nadler to explain that to us.

Most importantly, Mueller's short speech (without questions) exists against the background of the investigation into the predicate for his entire investigation. If that comes out the way it is likely to, Muller will look like a fool or worse. Don't think he doesn't realize that. He and Barr may have been friends once, but I suspect that's over.

Mueller -- and/or his minions -- will undoubtedly say looking into this was not in his job description. But it's impossible to believe in all the long years of "investigation" they did not come up against this. Omitting this absolutely essential information from his report is an omission for which the word "glaring" is an understatement.

Nevertheless, in the world of unintended consequences, this latest brouhaha could well be a net positive for Trump, since it will encourage Democratic hotheads to go for impeachment. Then as the various investigations unroll, it will blow back in their faces.

LAST WORD: Mueller looked very nervous as he made his short speech. He should have been.

Barr should now require Muller to testify before the SENATE.

I hope and pray that Barr investigates/hangs their sorry rears all out to dry so that this country- for the most part- will finally wake up and see this all for what it is- a coup against an honestly elected President. The Dem party needs to be outlawed/disbanded/recalled/repealed- whatever to get them out of here.

History will not be kind to this man.

I have always felt the same. Mueller is a deep-state elder, brought out of pasture for a Kamikaze mission against the USS Trump. He came close, but he missed.

Interesting that Mueller did this when Barr was in Alaska, he reeks of coward and I am damn ashamed he is a Marine.

It’s up to Lindsey Graham, I believe he MUST compel Mueller to testify to so many of the unanswered questions.

Because if Barr was present he would have squeezed Muellers neck off.

Yes! Among other reasons. They knew there was no collusion from day one - it was all invented and then retroactively made to appear legit by putting Steele's name on it. They knew the Dossier was BS. They knew Carter Page was an FBI informant not a Russian spy. They know they tried to set up George Papadopoulos in many ways. And most ironic of all, HRC and the DNC were 100% guilty of that which they alleged against Trump: They hired a foreign agent to pay Russian spies to give them dirt on Trump to use to influence the election.

IMO what they wanted to do was 1) punish the people associated with Trump 2) try to derail his agenda and 3) put the pressure on him hoping he would over-react and do something overt such as firing Mueller or perjure himself or otherwise obstruct the investigation so that they could bring impeachment on those grounds. They were hoping for a "Saturday night massacre" ala Nixon to hang on him as an impeachable offense. But Trump never fell into these traps.

They knew there was no collusion, they knew that Mueller's appointment wasn't even proper without a predicate crime to investigate. But they did this entire charade trying to entrap the President. They are a miserable despicable bunch of swamp rats.

So do I! Let’s get it all out there. Let’s see if there is any ‘evidence to exonerate Mueller’.

One time about 14 years ago when he was the FBI director he was scheduled to speak at a Law Enforcement conference in Kansas City.

I had the unfortunate position of being the speaker immediately in front of his royal highness prior to lunch. One of his minion FBI agents approached me prior to my presentation and told me that I had better damn well be off the podium when his scheduled time came. Well.... the bastard was late.....

He did not come out as confident in his delivery. It was like there was a gun to his head or a red dot on his chest.

“He did not come out as confident in his delivery. It was like there was a gun to his head or a red dot on his chest.”

And from the article” Mueller looked very nervous as he made his short speech. “

Makes me wonder if someone forced him to do this speech against his will.

“It’s up to Lindsey Graham, I believe he MUST compel Mueller to testify to so many of the unanswered questions.”

If they push for impeachment now based on this I see no way Mueller would not be called to testify. Mueller wishes he could run and hide but he’s still neck deep.
