And it wasn’t an investigation to stop communism. It was an investigation to stop the blacks from demanding an end to legal segregation.

The people defending segregation and whites only bus seats, lunch counters, hotels, schools, etc were the hardest working agents the Kremlin ever had. They were mostly democrats and should have got a paycheck from the KGB.

If they were worried it was a communist movement, the best way to end it would simply be to end segregation. But the goal wasn’t rooting out communism, it was protecting segregation and second class status. LOL

Your dismissive comments regarding his degrading treatment of women are equally fascinating.

As for Bobby ordering it, we issued an illegal order to proceed to Hoover. Hoover had blackmail on everyone in DC including the Kennedys.
Nobody including the AG or President stopped Hoover during his homo reign of blackmail terror.

Had Bobby refused to authorize it, Hoover had probably already had the Comey talk with him. And no, there were no warrants that was fully proven in the Church commission COINTELPRO hearings.

It’s more entertaining to watch Garrow or folks like yourself twist and contort to deny, defend, or deflect from the factual.

And there are FOIA requests already in wait filed by others.

Garrow has ignored and defended King’s plagiarism for 30 years.

Segregationists and KKK and Democrats of that era were the best red agents the KGB ever had. Without them Moscow could never have yammered before the world about how America was all talk about our principles.

That did some real damage to the world as the Soviets went all over Africa and other places and made a really nice case that they were the ones truly championing rights for all.
When you see Soviet client states in Africa, you can thank the goobers with dogs and hoses in Selma.

I just want some PROOF. You keep ranting, and quoting alleged documents at second hand that none of us have seen - but you claim that ‘anyone’ can file a FOIA and see this for themselves.

So: File One! and post the actual proof here, for all of us to see.

Otherwise, you just come across as an obsessed harridan pushing a very questionable agenda.

AG Robert F. Kennedy signed the warrant as stated in the Congressional Records. He had probable cause(s) and that warrant was open-ended.

Levison already had been tapped.

This information is on one of the other threads.

This story was well covered back in the 80’s by The Spotlight. Anyone remember that publication?

MLK’s wiretaps were indeed authorized by Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy after King refused to separate himself from known Communist members who were his top level advisors.

Bayard Rustin was King’s main advisor and mentor/handler in the late 1950’s. Rustin joined the Young Communist League in 1936; then (CPUSA) through the 1940’s.

The Soviets directed CPUSA to get active in civil rights movement for African-Americans. Following Stalin’s theory of nationalism, (CPUSA) favored the creation of a separate nation for African-Americans to be located in the south of the USA. However, after 1941 when Germany invaded the Soviet Union, Stalin ordered the CPUSA to abandon civil rights work and focus on getting the USA into WW2.

Disillusioned, Rustin began working with members of the Socialist Party instead. Rustin was a homosexual and was arrested in Pasadena, California in 1953 for committing sodomy in a car with two other men. He pleaded guilty to the crime of sex perversion and served 60 days in jail.

Rustin, the Communist and sexual pervert (that was the charge that he plead guilty to in 1953) then becomes Martin Luther King Jr’s #1 mentor, speech writer and adviser a few years later.

Another one of King’s most trusted advisors was Stanley Levison - he was another leader in the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) in the 1950’s. Yet another of King’s advisors and a director of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference was Jack O’Dell. During the 1950’s O’Dell was a member of the CPUSA.

Both Robert & John Kennedy tried to persuade MLK to separate himself from these communists that held powerful positions within his organization - MLK refused.

FBI Wiretaps of Martin Luther King Jr.
On October 10, 1963 Attorney General Robert Kennedy authorized the FBI to begin wiretapping the telephones of MLK. The Kennedy brothers were both liberal yet even they decided that the FBI needed to wiretap MLK because of his close connections to known Communists.

And the King/Obama constituents don’t care about their heroes moral flaws, at all. After all, they knew OJ was guilty, but all he did was murder two crackers. And OJ was black.

An attorney general cannot issue warrants. He ordered Hoover to go ahead and proceed with something that he knew to be illegal. So he was in on it, but it wasn’t legal simply because Bobby Kennedy said to do it. And you keep prattling on about morality, and about communism, but somehow you never get around they’re condemning the people defending the on American segregation system. Go blow it out your tailpipe

Instead of trying to play whack-a-mole with every communist attracted to the Civil Rights Movement as an opportunistic infection, the best way the deal with it would have been to remove two on American segregation system and Jim Crow laws. It wasn’t an anti-communist effort it was an effort to maintain segregation

You keep saying the Attorney General signed the warrant. The Attorney General cannot issue a warrant. He simply cooperated with Hoover’s scheme. There were no warrants, at least none that our founding fathers would recognize

The transcripts of the recordings from the bugs in the hotel lamps are now collaborated and confirming the wiretap transcripts on King’s phone lines.

This is because MLK joked, bragged and talked about what had transpired at his orgies in the days after these events.

The new summaries the historian has found in the archives confirm previously known information.

David Garrow is an apologist and most celebrated author and expert on MLK who has written books and papers on King since the 1970’s.

I suggest that you challenge his eyesight or integrity, not mine.

But your mentality perfectly illustrates why Hillary, Comey and Brennen decided to run with the Russian interference in 2016 narrative, and the pee dossier.

They count on the cold war knee jerk response and probably focus grouped it as the best way to get some repubs to turn against Trump.

A meaningless sentence, impossible to parse. I want to see official documents/transcripts. But you can't deliver.

It was legal. The FBI surveil stayed in place for years and followed King & Co. wherever he traveled. Even to Norway, another X-rated trip.

The FBI did not command King to fornicate like a porn star or behave as a pimp towards women.

King was asked to clean his house of communists and he responded by gathering more of them, hired by Levison.

We all knew there was this stuff about MLK Jr. out there for many years. It’s not like this is necessarily new.

The question is: WHY... Why drag this out now?

Who benefits?

I heard rumors of these tapes floating around D.C. before MLK was shoot by a DemonRAT. They usually include his racial preference in women.
