Lawmakers in Illinois have advanced what could be the nation's most liberal abortion law.
Supporters say the measure is necessary to counter other states' actions to restrict abortion and the threat to overturn Roe v. Wade the Supreme Court ruling that created abortion rights.
Illinois state House Democrats voted to replace the state's abortion law with a measure that would make abortion a primary right in the state.

SB 25, known as the REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS ACT would:
Allow abortions at any time during pregnancy, for any reason.
Remove any penalties for abortionists.
Allow nurses to perform medication abortions
Eliminate licensing and health and safety inspections of abortion clinics.
Strip all rights from unborn children and wipe nearly every abortion regulation off the books in Illinois.
Cause many preemie babies to have zero legal rights.
Allow the dismemberment of preemie babies who feel pain without anesthesia.
Allow minors who have had an abortion to not notify their parents or legal guardian.
Eliminate licensing and health and safety inspections of abortion clinics.
You can’t operate a street food cart without a million permits and inspections.
Sweet Jesus.
I can only conclude that law has become Evil.
Springfield, Ill. - Gov. JB Pritzker issued the following statement in support of the House's action on the Reproductive Healthcare Act.
"As a lifelong advocate of a woman's right to choose, I applaud the House for passing the Reproductive Healthcare Act and urge the Senate to take swift action on this critical piece of legislation. With reproductive healthcare under attack across the country, we must do everything in our power to protect women's rights in Illinois. I thank the chief sponsor, Rep. Kelly Cassidy, for her steadfast resolve in advocating for women across the state and country by carrying this bill. Today was a major step forward for every woman in this state and I look forward continuing my work as an ally by signing the Reproductive Healthcare Act into law."
There’s plenty of Democrat politicians in Illinois that should be aborted any time, and for any reason.
His Will certainly wasn’t done in NYS.
Which is why I’m looking in PA.
There are companies known for putting fetal stem cells in food for flavorings. Pepsi was one.
Think on that.
I used to know someone quite well who ended up an abortionist. His exact words to me were, “It’s quite lucrative.” This was long ago now. People still go to this doctor. Things he’s done would want you to become an explosives expert.
You cant operate a street food cart without a million permits and inspections.
They will be able to have an abortion clinic in the back of a van. Women will be able to call for an abortion as easily as calling for an Uber.
So now that everyone knows where the Democrats of Illinois stand on abortion, why aren’t any of the Democratic presidential candidates standing with them by delivering a ringing endorsement of their pro-abortion views?
Joe Biden isn’t the only one hiding from the public.
Then can parents of Illinois representatives post partum abort the politicians?
Chicago the city of evil Ruins the entire state of Illinois. Dwarfs Ithaca
And where is Cardinal Cupich? He should be down in Springfield banging on the pulpit about this travesty. The parishes are doing their best to notify the parishioners, but our “shepherd” is silent.
...the Supreme Court ruling that created abortion rights [??? emphasis added]."
FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponents Argument
Patriots are reminded that the Supreme Court has no express constitutional authority to create rights of any kind. In the good old USA, rights are created only when the states amend the Constitution with express new rights like they did with the rights they expressly protected in the Bill of Rights.
In other words, post-17th Amendment ratification Roe v. Wade was a scandal.
Remember in November 2020!
MAGA!
Don’t be shocked if a huge tornado hits Illinois especially Chicago if this bill passes. God sees and waits.
I can only surmise that the bill was supported by the undertakers’ lobby.
I don’t like this bill obviously, but is this not the beauty of Federalism in action? If pro-lifers would argue against abortion from a federalist position, more precious lives would be saved. GA and AL have their laws; NY and IL have theirs. Attack abortion from a state rights perspective
This is not a STATE'S RIGHTS issue. This is a GOD issue. EVERY baby has a God-given right to live.
