You should be asking that question to your elected congress critters who created the H1-B visa law. I think it is stupid to blame the Indians for accepting jobs offered to them by US based companies.

It is like you give some money to the pan handler on street corner and then blame HIM for accepting the gift. So ridiculous.

Why do we need any foreigner here to displace Americans from work here?

I think it is stupid to blame the Indians for accepting jobs

He didn't - learn English.

I blame GE, Jack ("we gave them lifetime employability")who Welch, McKinsey & co. (who at one point were hired by one of the Indian provinces with the stated aim, IIRC, of creating one million jobs there), and Bill Gates (who cried poverty about wages but who arranged a $57 Billion dividend, and the folks at Hewlett-Patel and Sun Microsystems (say, whatever happened to them?)

I blame them for being unqualified to do the job.
30 years working for Intel Microprocessor Design qualifies me to make that statement.

I blame both. Most of the indians I have worked with had to have knowingly committed fraud of some kind to even claim to be qualified for the job they were hired for. Cheating on tests, ad having other people take tests for you is considered normal in India. They don't see anything at all wrong with it.

And God help a poor American worker who finds himself in a department where an Indian has the ability to hire. He'll be the last one ever even interviewed.
