H1B has destroyed Americans holding onto and getting back into Tech jobs. Where I live we are saturated with India invasion working for JPMorgan. They live in apartments with 2-3-4 others. All the while Chase and other companies pay for their Green Card as well. It has literally displaced thousands of Americans

I was replaced by THREE H-1Bs on my last Silicon Valley job. Count 'em, THREE.

Although the company was legally required to pay 'prevailing wage' to H-1Bs, they still saved money. H-1Bs don't follow the prevailing wage, they set the prevailing wage.

“Business Systems Analyst” is generic - not a specialty.

DENIED!

“contrary to established legal precedent” probably works like DACA. Some other slob who wanted to hollow out the US tech workforce bent over for this therefore you’re not allowed to stop doing so.

Reportedly, Anisetty has attained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics and Communication Engineering) and a Masters of Science degree in Information Technology and Management from the University of Texas at Dallas.

So this guy just got what all the other American college graduates have?

Doesn't that mean that he does NOT have special skills that can't be filled by an American worker?

This has to be H1-B visa abuse. He should have had the degree and skills from India before coming here. The fact that he was here and then got the degrees from an American college alongside American students proves that he does not have special skills that could not be filled by an American worker.

It was stupid and unreasonable that they denied the visa to an educated, stable person who would come to work in the US legally and already has a job with a company.

The illegals coming across the border are the ones that need to be stopped.

The way to counter this is to have some Americans with the appropriate credentials apply for the job.

When any are refused an interview, there’s exhibit A for the Government.

Silicone Valley is in desperate need of new leaders in a number of tech centers.

I wonder if there are any middle managers on up in India, that are looking for work.

Nah, promote from within the old timers, who know more than their middle management anyway.

I absolutely refuse to believe that there's a single "high tech" job in this country that can't be very properly filled by a US citizen or by someone with a Green Card.

H1-B visas are clearly meant to get the same work done for one-third the cost.

An Indian national making $25,000 a year is among the top 0.2% of wage earners in India...and that's what it's all about in Silicon Valley (and elsewhere).

No one is entitled to a job and for sure no one here on a H1b is entitled.
Way past time to terminate the entire program

I keep telling people its not just tech. The Banks are stuffed full of them and its definitely not just tech jobs.

H1b abuse is just as big of an issue for me as the border. Both are part of the cheap labor express used to undercut Americans in their own country.

I think that H1-B visa should be sold for 1 million dollars each per year. If the company thinks that the visa holders skills are so unique that they must import the person, the 1 million dollars is a small price to pay. The 1 million dollars must be paid up front and is non-refundable even if the person dies, goes back home, disappears, etc.

If they company is found replacing US workers then there should be a 10 million dollar fine and jailing of the CEO, CFO, CRO and other top level executives for 2 years per employee illegally hired under the visa program.

We are the number one destination of foreign students worldwide, and we are supposedly the most technologically advanced nation on earth, yet we need hundreds of thousands of people educated in less-developed countries because they possess the skills we can’t find here.

The entire premise of H-1b is so patently false it is ludicrous.
