In the late ‘70’s, we were looking to buy our first house in the Baltimore metro area and looked at a couple of the cheapest for sale on Gibson Island. Inlaws lived there and one of my brothers in law would take me night shooting at the dump where we’d shoot rats with AR 15’s. It was great fun but didn’t last long because the neighbors reported the gunfire to the island rent-a-cops.

I’m confused. If Alice Truesdale Mueller had a sister Marie Truesdale Bissell wouldn’t her sister’s son be her nephew and not her first cousin? And wouldn’t Robert Mueller be Richard Bissell, Jr.’s first cousin?

While it is very interesting that Gestapo Mueller is related to the Bissell family, and a bunch of other establishment families (and it does interest me a lot, as I have been tracing my own family tree for nearly 25 years), what is more interesting is how Gestapo Mueller has abused the power entrusted to him for decades. Innocent people rotted in jail for years, 2 of whom died, when Gestapo Mueller KNEW that they had done nothing wrong.

James Fennimore Cooper wrote a book called The Spy.
That was primarily about a spy (possibly double-agent?) during the Revolutionary War. Said spy was saved from execution by G Washington in the story.
Some history buffs could possibly fill in more of the blanks. My point is that there has been this kind of function in USA from the beginning. And it is SUPPOSED to be under control of the President. Not the other way around.

This is a really cool thread here . I’ve always been interested in connecting the dots with these people and have done some research. One book I highly recommend is “The Devil’s Chessboard” Allen Dulles,the CIA and the Rise of Aerica’s Secret Government by David Talbot pub. 2015.
I don’t believe Mueller’s name is mentioned at all but I’ll bet there are some individuals in this very interesting book that crossover into the Mueller , etc... circle jerk.

Kennebunkport is not historically a wealthy enclave, the Walker cottage, now an estate notwithstanding. While there is some old wealth, most of Kennebunkport is working folks and lobstermen. More recently there has been a building boom of large home both on the water and inland. They generally sit next to more modest homes that have been family owned for generations.
My job involves visiting construction sites and other development work with KPort being part of my territory. I am constantly amazed at finding simple little homes in the woods with a megamansion just down the street.
