Hey. It works!

Vladimir Putin has won the popular vote for the last 3 elections.

Right, which denies NV voters their vote if they don’t agree with the national.

The law doesn’t go in effect until the compact has at least 270 electoral votes. Only then can the courts look at this. Until the the Dems get to play around with this all they want.

Here’s another way to “...play out.”

The”Law of Unintended Consequences” tells us that, once the voters in the States that join the “Compact” figure out that their actual votes “won’t count”, they won’t bother to vote.

Result: Fewer Democrat votes, because the “Compact” states are majority Democrat states.

Result: The REPUBLICAN candidates will win the popular vote.

Result: REPUBLICANS will then collect ALL the “compact” votes and win the Electoral College.

Result: The heads of the oh-so-clever Democrats will explode!

Jim,

What's your thinking on this?

Few days after Trumps victory, I ran into Holder, the brains behind it, on a flight from LA back to East coast. Clearly, the Dems didn't waste a day strategizing a long term solution to their failed coup.

Thanks,
TW

It will probably be the demonRATs that will sue to stop it! Once the rules are set in those affected states, all one has to do is show how tremendous amounts of money will be saved by building the wall, free pot for everyone, free sex, etc... then promise to redistribute that savings of money back to the gimmedats. But only in those states. Those nincompoops would sell their own mothers for free money and pot.

Secure the election, then, since it’s your last four years, yank the rug out from underneath them, and reneg on your promises... just like a demonRAT would do. Then, see how the next election stacks up with respects to popular voting.

If only I had a dollar every time I’ve heard that.

************

The GOP has failed us again, and again and again. Yet people still vote for them for mainly for one reason: they are the lesser of two evils. How many more failures do we need to see? It doesn’t have to stay this way.

If you think about it you’ll see that Trump represents, in many respects, a new party. It may be ‘virtual’ but it is very real. His voters trust him, but they don’t trust the GOP.

The Gutless Old Party has disappointed us too many times and deserves to be replaced. Remember, many people thought Donald Trump had no chance of winning the presidency. New things become possible when the alternatives no longer work.

Thanks Robert A Cook PE. They need ten more votes. And if it is effect by the election in 2020, Trump will have the EVs of NY and CA, causing widespread meltdown and probably a good many suicides by stupid lefties.

That’s a nice fantasy ending, but unlikely.

If there’s one thing Dems are good at, its getting out the vote, even if it requires raising the dead.

Every state should have to agree on to it not just go buy 270 electoral votes. The number now stands at 95 electoral votes so only a few mores states would have to say yes to this thing all while disinfraching many states.

So fed up.

They need 75 more electoral votes I am sure they are there somewhere and the dems have thought about this for a long time.

They already agreed NOT to do it in the Constitution.

If they want to change it, change the Constitution, AKA amending it.

The yellow states are pending , NV just approved. 110 pending.

That is 305 .

Does anyone think OH, NC, GA will pass these ? What of AZ, KS, WI?

And pending does indicate real status of likelihood.

Sorry, see further down https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Popular_Vote_Interstate_Compact#Bills_receiving_floor_votes_in_previous_sessions

GOP GOV can veto the bill. Bill died in committee in upper house etc.

This is not getting to 270 until state house change.

Click the column to place most current session at top. See the attemprs in states and FAILs

Killed by veto, die in committee etc.

“The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) is an agreement among a group of U.S. states and the District of Columbia to award all their electoral votes to whichever presidential candidate wins the overall popular vote in the 50 states and the District of Columbia.”

So if the candidate has to win the “overall popular” vote in 50 states how can less than 50 states enter into the compact? Am I reading the last 3 sentences wrong?

Nevada went blue in 2016. Isn’t this hurting nobody but the Democrat?

because only 270 EV are needed to become President, is my best conclusion

“If there’s one thing Dems are good at, its getting out the vote, even if it requires raising the dead.”

If they’re so damn good at getting out the vote, then explain how Republicans controlled 37 states in 2016, while the rats controlled 11 states.

These things are cyclical.
