Attorney General William P. Barr on Thursday railed against federal courts issuing nationwide injunctions blocking President Trump from implementing his policies, saying they wield unprecedented power.
In a speech before the American Law Institute, Mr. Barr said such injunctions block politicians of all stripes from enacting the voters will.
One judge can, in effect, cancel the policy with the stroke of the pen, he said. No official in the United States government can exercise that kind of nationwide power, with the sole exception of the president

I think that EEE was the last remaining member of the Jeff Sessions' Fan Club - so when he said that he knew of one Attorney General better than Barr - I made a potshot guess that he was talking about Mr. Sessions. It could be that he was referencing someone else.
Since I can barely play 2D Chess, I was in the 'I'm very disappointed in Mr. Sessions' camp.

It may rightly be called a constitutional crisis.
The three separate branches are presumably equal among each other and each having specific autonomous authority. But it seems the Courts have decided they have the final authority over any topic they choose to consider. Even after other branches are only beginning to debate national scope, courts seem willing to simply arrogate to themselves, the authority to rule with abandon.

You people are worse than dung beetles to crap.
I could have been thinking of any other AG...Maybe John Ashcroft or even Bobby Kennedy. What made you think it was Sessions?

It doesn’t matter where he said it. It was words, not actions.

A district judge can handcuff the whole country. That’s a lot of power.

And most of the founders saw scotus and the lesser courts, of course, as the weakest of the 3 branches. I dont think they ever thought the courts wereas equal, because Congress could take items out of the purvue of Scotus’ ability to rule on them. And of course, dissolve any of the lower courts as needed.

Exactly! The president is the only office holder elected by all the people.
