Former Virginia attorney general Ken Cuccinelli is expected to take a top job at the Department of Homeland Security to help steer the administration's immigration policies, a senior administration official said.
Cuccinelli is not expected to take on the role of "immigration czar," a position President Donald Trump had considered establishing to improve coordination between the agencies involved in handling the steep uptick in migrants crossing the US's southern border in recent months.
But Trump and White House officials hope Cuccinelli, a politically savvy immigration hardliner, will ensure the White House's immigration priorities are being carried out at the Department of Homeland Security.

Paul Ryan and Marco Rubio are not similar to Ken Cuccinelli.
Nope, Cuch is not RINO/GOPe
Cuch had his funding pulled by the establishment GOP when he ran for governor. Add to that, he's conservative.
Yes, he is the one. Go Ken!
This was not a good look for him:
“Over the past few years, Cuccinelli has praised Trump on cable television but during the 2016 election he led an effort to strip Trump of delegates at the Republican National Convention on behalf of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas)”
Ouch !

So what.
We’re talking about trying to undo the votes of the people through party shenanigans.
Agreed.
LOL.
On the other side they have two rear end impeachers, A-mash and Buttzkrieg.
That's "ouch"!
I don't recall that. I do recall Cuch proposing that the Republican National Committee chair powers be reduced and that the party's apparatus at the convention should be decentralized. He was proposing that for the future and not 2016.
No, he was actively working against Trump getting all his delegates.
If you can directly support your claim with links, be my guest. Your last link didn't do that.
That's a "good look".
That's a real "good look".
I realize we get immigrants (legal) and illegals from all over the world. The thing is most of the problems are on the Southern border. Is it just me or would it make more sense to put someone that knows about those issues in particular in that job?
The problems on this border are many layered, and not easy to recognize, sort out, deal with. I have no one in mind but not sure someone from Virginia is going to begin to understand. A conservative from a border state would be able to get up to speed so much fast.
Just my opinion.
Bad move. This guy is a total, multiple time loser and opportunist.
The naysayers on this thread must not have seen Cuccinelli on Life, Liberty and Levin recently where it was clear to me that he has his head on straight and acknowledges that President Trump is taking us in a good direction.
Stop misrepresenting what was going on—and what Cuccinelli was up to:

Quit smearing Trump's choice of a very good conservative.
