In September 2016 the FBI used a longtime informant, Stefan Halper, to make contact with George Papadopoulos, pay him $3k and fly him to London for consulting work and a policy paper on Mediterranean energy issues.
As part of the spy operation the FBI sent a female intelligence operative (a spy) under the alias Azra Turk to pose as Halper’s assistant and engage Papdopoulos. A month later the FBI used Papadopoulos as a supplemental basis for a FISA warrant against Carter Page.
Former Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Trey Gowdy, tells Maria Bartiromo that he has seen transcripts of the Halper/Turk operation, and those transcripts exonerate Papadopoulos.

Withholding exculpatory evidence? Sounds like obstruction of justice.
This comes to light after the poor guy is ruined. Mueller and the whole lot need to be sued for everything they own.
Gowdy has seen exculpatory evidence, and Schiff and Brennan have seen evidence of treason. They all need to put up or shut up.
I doubt he is ruined. He was set-up by the intel agencies and then railroaded by Mueller. If there was any doubt Mueller was at least an enabler of the Seditious actions of the FBI et al, the attempt to frame, threaten, force a false confession and prosecute Papadopoulos tells the tale. He’s been put through incredible stresses including financial stress I’m sure. But he should be able to come out of this on top. The more that is made public the more he will be able to talk and write about it.
Gowdy brought this up in the context of the Carter Page FISA warrant request. But I wonder if Team Mueller remembered to give all such exculpatory evidence to: A) Papadopoulos before he accepted a plea bargain (would be essential to his decision); and, B) the judge prior to his acceptance of Papadopoulos’ plea and/or sentencing.
So typical of Gowdy. As a Congressman, he did nothing to expose the coup against the President. He talked a good game, but delivered nothing. Apparently longing for more TV time, he now tells us about this exculpatory transcript about which he learned while in Congress. Even if he could not disclose the content while in Congress, he should have raised the issue when to do so might have made a difference.

Yep. Gowdy is a gutless wonder. When he was in Congress, he implied Trump was actong guilty.
