BALTIMORE Heroin has ravaged this city since the early 1960s, fueling desperation and crime that remain endemic in many neighborhoods. But lately, despite heroins long, deep history here, users say it has become nearly impossible to find.

Same here. The few surgeries I’ve had I could barely tolerate the painkillers. Pain relief, yes. But seriously nauseous.
LaRouche WAS one weird dude, finally.
We pull out of Afghanistan and the opioids dry up .... go figure... look up aga Kahn btw... richest man in the world and bushes buddy from Yale. Owns all the land it is grown on.... coincidence?
Send them all to Mecksico, Guatemala, Honduras, and Venezuela
Another milestone of victory along the advance to inevitable unconditional surrender in the war on drugs. More unanticipated consequences fallen along the wayside with all the dead bodies. Victory, oh so sweet.
as Fentanyl Swamps Streets
Who manufacture fentanyl? What countries are the sources?
Exactly, The normal brain doesnt desire such strong feelings. The addic brain is wired differently, the nausea and loopy feels good to them.
Like hot sauce for instance, I love hot hot hot sauce, to me it feels good to burn like that. And they know that its genetic, and the way some are wired.
The shift from heroin to fentanyl in cities has contributed to surging overdose deaths...

But is there a hidden downside?
I guess that’ll “solve” the homeless problem... instead of being homeless and addicted to heroin or crack, they’ll be dead from a Fentanyl OD.
Does it matter? With respect to the overall plague of drug abuse, I think not. If a source from one country is shut off supply will simply switch to a different country or to domestic production. As I pointed out in many posts, the illegal drug trade is in effect a multilevel marketing scheme which has never been approached for profitability because the price is guaranteed by the government, the more the government cuts off supply the higher the price, the higher the price the more attractive the risks to supply. The more we win the more we lose.
With respect to our foreign policy, I think the source country matters a great deal. For example, we find ourselves funding both sides of the war in Afghanistan fighting the Taliban who profit from the drug trade which we ultimately finance. That was the dilemma for years in Columbia. We find ourselves cutting off remittances to Cuba while Cuba is making money in America from the drug trade.
Our foreign policy, like our domestic war on drugs, is a series of missteps and unanticipated negative consequences.
I bet some politicians are getting filthy rich off of this.
Gotta read the article:
“traffickers here and in Mexico can order fentanyl from China”
I had a dog that had surgery and was on a fentanyl patch for pain for a couple of days. He seemed totally out of it seeing flying pink elephants or whatever. After a really bad day at work I was so jealous that I was very tempted to rip the patch off and put it on myself.
For most people, a serious buzz.
...and for me, Pain relief, not much, but seriously nauseous.
Now I tell the doc, Ibuprofen is the best for me. No Tylenol, also makes me nauseous.
I though one side affect of Opiates was Constipation.
Yes, it is amazing. The best Attorney General ever, Jeff Sessions, was worth a paltry 1.8 million when Obama came into office. He seems to have hit it real lucky when everyone body else was struggling at the time. Might explain a few things about his conduct as AG.
Drugs are inanimate...they aren’t ravaging cities and peoples’ lives. It is the person’s bad decisions to use them that is the problem. That is where the responsibility lies. Don’t want to have a drug problem? Don’t use them.
even if every single dealer has to be publicly executed to make that happen.
Lets not stop with one.
To that public execution, Id add child traffickers, human traffickers, and pimps.
Good question - heroin has more pain-relieving characteristics than morphine and less than fentanyl...cocaine also has pain-relief characteristics.
I was treated with a dose of fentanyl after a hip replacement and noted that the
high” was not a pleasant one where morphine and cocaine can make one a bit “happier” for a while...seems like heroin and fentanyl are more for the “forget the good feelings, I just want to erase all feelings” folks - who often succeed 100%...
