Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), a close ally of President Trump who has supported the presidents desire to pull U.S. troops out of the Middle East, says national security adviser John Bolton is a malign influence.
Paul, who believes the U.S. should reduce its military presence in Syria and Afghanistan, says he is alarmed by the recent mobilization of U.S. combat troops to counter what some Trump officials see as a rising threat posed by Iran.
Asked about Boltons role in the recent deployment of an aircraft carrier strike group and an Air Force bomber task force, Paul said, I fear that hes a malignancy, a malignant influence on the administration."

We didnt unlearn anything. We dont fight wars like that anymore because we dont fight wars to defend ourselves anymore. Instead, we just take sides in civil conflicts in Third World dumps all over the globe. Thats the globalist way, for sure.
The negative mantra of John Bolton is that “he is a military complex neocon and he’s dangerous”. He may or may not be all of that but the motives behind this man, as I see it, are purely pro America.
Ten bucks says hes worked quite a bit for organizations that have a ton of Saudi money behind them.
I don’t trust him. He’s a neo-con warmonger. As the saying goes, if you’re looking for trouble, you’ll find it.
He placed himself firmly on my sh!t-list back in the 1990s when he was clamoring for military action against the Serbs on behalf of the radical Islamic separatists in Kosovo.
To your list I’d add:
Every politician and bureaucrat who is in favor of the war must first walk from one end of Arlington National Cemetery to the other. Then they must visit a VA hospital.
It’s possible that war is unavoidable. But hopefully my suggestion would make them think twice, and avoid a rush to judgement.
I didnt know that. We picked the wrong side. We should have stayed out of a 1300+ year conflict. When I doubt side with the Christians.
Go ahead, re post it.....
Getting out of Afghanistan is dealing with an establishment hydra. The DOD and the Army and the DOS and K Street are all determined to keep us involved for various reasons. With the Army it is institutional stubbornness by a generation of generals who have been there several times. They are determined that this will not be Viet Nam again and there will be a positive ‘Mission Complete’ endstate. The rest all have some agenda or other and it is impossible to cut through the bureaucratic undergrowth quickly. The President is the CiC of the armed forces but look what happened when Trump said ‘no more trannies and get rid of those in the ranks’. The SecDef actually defied him and it took 8 months to get this change effected.
Imagine twelve million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.Rand in 2013. Lest anyone think he is not a globalist. In the same speech, he claimed to be against amnesty, but then blatantly promotes amnesty here.
Every. Single. Time.
something like that. I think you’re correct.
We need to get out of the ME. Send the troops down to our southern border. Were being invaded for Gods sake.
Yeah if we must turn Iran into glass from above.
We should always fear giving power to Man, he has proven unworthy.
Don’t agree at all. Rand is right, Bolton has one agenda, war and chaos. Why? Because that is the plan that has been devised for reasons obvious to anyone with more than a double digit IQ.
...It's not that they have much to offer other than they feel their principles are worthy to stimulate discussion while more importantly keeping them in the public limelight."
Well said.
Paul seems to be a very inconsistent supporter of our President and I question his reasoning at times.
As for the deployment I agree that we should not go looking for another war in that backward part of the world where our presence is not wanted or particularly needed, but of course we have to defend ourselves with vigor if we or or allies are attacked.
And somebody doesn't appreciate the difference between "malign" and "malignant".
Do not trust Bolton; he ought to be fired. Agree with Sen. Paul.
The slogan “no king but Jesus” was about that very point, as were the checks and balances that the pre-Sixteenth-and-Seventeenth Amendments Constitution were about at the federal level. But as things stand, is the entire nation going to fast and pray for several days (at least) to beg Jesus to establish His kingdom any earlier?
>> Bolton does what he is told.
Yet he still has that stache.
