This is a Clapper, "Don't throw me in that briar patch." gambit.
The Inspector General cannot talk with anyone that isn't currently employed in the Justice Department and can't issue subpoenas. The special investigator can issue subpoenas and can convene a grand jury to bring anyone before to be questioned under oath.
In the first Clapper is immune from any inquiry, in the second he is in heap big trouble.

By the rules as set by the dems, Clapper just committed obstruction of justice by questioning the need for an investigation!
Muahahaha!

Id wait for the outcome of that to determine if there needs to be more investigations. You aren't in charge any longer so your opinion on how things should be done is just hot air.

Clapper doesn’t want an investigation?
Why are we not surprised?
What a laugh.
He is in legal jeopardy and should have enough sense to STFU.
But no, they want to have trial by press.
Clapper is actually making things worse for himself, so I cheer on his continuing counter intel op.

Why is Clapper so afraid of the investigation of the Trump-Russia collusion investigation? Something to hide?

When didd the first one happen Clapass?
To: Helicondelta
Clapper wouldn’t know a competent investigation if it bit him in the ass. He is incompetent and probably incontinent (aka full of crap).
To: Helicondelta
When have the investigators been investigated? They havent. Yet, Trump and allies should apparently be constantly investigated.
