Just when we think that Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) couldn't get any more anti-Semitic, she proves us wrong. Her latest remark is rather cringeworthy too. During an interview with Yahoo News' podcast "Skullduggery," she explained her take on the Holocaust.
"Theres always kind of a calming feeling, I tell folks, when I think of the Holocaust, and the tragedy of the Holocaust, and the fact that it was my ancestors Palestinians who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence in many ways, have been wiped out, and some people's passports," Tlaib said.
"And, just all of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews, post-the Holocaust, post-the tragedy and the horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time. And, I love the fact that it was my ancestors that provided that, right, in many ways, but they did it in a way that took their human dignity away and it was forced on them."
Republican leaders were quick to slam Tlaib's comments, and rightfully so.
"There is no justification for the twisted and disgusting comments made by Rashida Tlaib just days after the annual Day of Holocaust Remembrance. More than six million Jews were murdered during the Holocaust; there is nothing 'calming' about that fact," House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) said in a statement. "Unfortunately, this is far from the first display of heinous anti-Semitic comments coming from Democrat House members this year, and its clear this is now the norm for their caucus. Its long past time for Speaker Pelosi to take swift action and make it clear that these vile comments have no place in Congress."
House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) called on Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) "to finally take action against Representative Tlaib and other members of the Democratic caucus who are spreading vile anti-Semitism."
"All of us, regardless of party, must stand as Americans against the evil of anti-Semitism," Cheney said. "If the Democratic leadership continues to stand by in silence, they are enabling the spread of evil. History teaches us that anti-Semitism begins with words and becomes something far worse. Speaker Pelosi and Leader Hoyer must act now."
I'm honestly not sure what's more disgusting: the fact that Tlaib made these comments or that Democrats have to tip toe around anti-Semitism instead of calling out and condemning those who threaten the Jewish people.
Democrats claim to be the party that stands up on behalf of minorities. They claim to represent women and minorities yet here they are, allowing multiple members of Congress to continually say things that hurt a minority group: Jews.
We, as a nation, need to take a long, hard look at ourselves and our beliefs when this type of hate speech is being protected. It was this kind of logic, this belief that one group of people are more superior than another, that got us into the Holocaust to begin with. It's a dangerous road to go down and one we should know better to toy with. Every anti-Semitic remark made is a new seed of racism and hatred that's being planted.
Palestinians are her ancestors? How so?
This cant be real.
Tlaib: When I Think About The Holocaust I Get A ‘Warm Feeling’
Get used to it! You are gong to have a very warm eternity!
There’s no such thing as a Palestinian...only Jordanian Arabs and Egyptian Arabs.
Note:
No Dem has denounced ehat she has said.
NAZls were The National Socialist German Workers’ Party of 1939.
They wanted government intervention into all aspects of life and promoted large social spending.
They relied on identity politics.
Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei
Here in the US: they use the moniker Democrats.
Their largest funder , George Soros was a NAZl member during WW2
The first question to ask of ANY Democrat candidate is “Do you renounce the remarks of.. (insert list)). If they won’t, then you know all you need to know about the Dems.
I get the same feeling thinking about a mess of dead muzzies.
“Tlaib: When I Think About The Holocaust I Get A ‘Warm Feeling’”
When I think about her a get a warm feeling too... like a dog just took a whiz on my leg.
She's a moslem. She's as serious as a scorpion...and every bit as dangerous.
Yes, but isn’t she of the wrong skin color or ethnicity to have either of them as ancestors?
Typical Democrat.
“Democrats claim to be the party that stands up on behalf of minorities. They claim to represent women and minorities yet here they are, allowing multiple members of Congress to continually say things that hurt a minority group: Jews.”
But the irony of this statement is that American Jews, by a wide margin, vote Democrat. So have they forgotten the Holocaust, or have they forgotten that they are Jews? Inquiring minds want to know! From their voting patterns, one is left with the “impression” that “being Jewish” is way down their list of priorities. I’m just waiting for Bernie Sanders to ask Tlaib to be his VP running mate!
When I think about Tlaib, Omar and FGM, I smile.
It would be interesting to find a literate Democrat left on the planet.
When Theodor Herzl called for the Zionist movement in the late 19th century, these fine upstanding Palestinians had already destroyed their own land. They could not sell fast enough their poisonous snakes and malaria infested swamps to incoming land hungry Jews at a bazillion times more than it was worth.
The Jews then worked themselves to death, literally, making it a decent place to live. It took a couple of generations.
Then Tlaib's upstanding relatives thought the Jews should vacate and give it back. They didn't even offer a fair price for the improved property. They just told the Jews to take a swim in the Mediterranean.
The Jews have been saying now, for about 3 generations, "Over my dead body."
If Arab whiners are going to tell the history of Israel, or Levant, as the Obama the Great liked to call it, at least tell it straight.
What is this demon’s congressional district? It needs to be napalmed.
Palestinians never had any land to lose. There is no historical nation called “Palestine” and the Palestinians are from surrounding countries, not Israel.
What I wish would happen to Tlaib I can’t post on the forum. There are just too many evil people on this earth for some reason are allow to control the lives of too many Americans.
