James Woods Releases New Statement About Twitter Suspending Him

Conservative actor James Woods said on Thursday that he will no longer be using Twitter after the platform suspended him and then deleted a tweet that he refused to take down after the platform received widespread scorn from lawmakers for its continued censorship of conservatives.

"Twitter demanded that I rescind my tweet paraphrasing Emerson," Woods said in a statement to The Daily Wire. "It now seems they have chosen to delete that tweet from my account without my permission. Until free speech is allowed on Twitter, I will not be permitted to participate in our democracy with my voice. As long as Jack Dorsey remains the coward he seems to be, my Twitter days are in the past."

Woods was suspended in late April over a tweet that stated: "If you try to kill the King, you better not miss. #HangThemAll."

The Daily Wire has reached out to Twitter for clarification on what specific rules Woods' tweet allegedly broke and will report on what answers the social media platform gives.

Woods received an outpouring of support including from President Donald Trump, who tweeted: "How can it be possible that James Woods (and many others), a strong but responsible Conservative Voice, is banned from Twitter? Social Media & Fake News Media, together with their partner, the Democrat Party, have no idea the problems they are causing for themselves. VERY UNFAIR!"

"It's interesting how @twitter and @facebook both seem more concerned with silencing non-violent people who hold political opinions they disagree with, than violent terrorist organizations and the people that support them," Donald Trump Jr. tweeted. "Is @RealJamesWoods really more 'dangerous' than Hamas?"

"How is it that @RealJamesWoods is currently being banned on Twitter, but @JimCarrey is not?" Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) tweeted. "It’s certainly not any standard based on 'hate.' Carrey’s latest Twitter 'art' shows Bill Barr drowning in a sea of vomit. @Jack - how ‘bout we let everybody speak and the People decide?"

Probably because twitter has achieved market power and potential competitors know it would be a money losing proposition.

Corporations are all in on the progressive agenda. Just compare the blue chip company ads on MSNBC to which companies (My Pillow, etc.) advertise on conservative leaning shows. It’s night and day and a conspiracy no doubt.

Twitter is mostly crazy, nasty, radical leftists

It wasn't that way is 2015 & 2016 when DJT announced, and I disagree, it will affect the election. That's the reason for the conservative bannings.

Twitter is the sewer of the internet. Mostly used by older people I think. Young folks have moved on to other platforms.

The simple truth is that rich leftists are willing to lose money if it aids the revolution whereas those on the right usually insist on at least getting their money back if not profiting. For example, the infamous Salon has done a horrible job with its finances, has never been profitable its entire 25 years and has received numerous injections from rich leftists, but it’s still standing and spreading the message.

If President Trump went to Gab, Twitter would crumble overnight. The media would have to follow him to whatever platform he went to.

Of course the media would howl that the President was using a “WASIS” Platform if he went to Gab.

Maybe things will change when conservatives wake up to the fact that Comcast, Disney, and now ATT are driving the Leftwing message through their media properties.

In reality, no one gives a damn. They’d rather just bitch about the “MSM” and demand regulations — kinda like the dirtbags on the Left.

That said, telecom infrastructure must not have control over the news. Currently, Comcast and ATT do.

Yes it was mostly crazy leftist. Trump just used it to his advantage, still does.

Twitter is small, ugly, and not as powerful as leftist journalists pretend it is when they quote it. As if it were a real cross section of America. Trump, all by himself, uses it as a counter to their moronic rabid leftism. I hope they try to ban him, they would destroy themselves if they did.

It's Google and Facebook who has the power. Along with Twitter, they need to be broken up for pretending to be public service, free speech platforms. They're not. They are hard leftist, with the intent to make America hard left. They were just as much so in 2015 and 2016. They are all bad actors.

>>There is two ways to do this. Either dont use these web sites at all or..flood the sites with massive amounts of, what they consider, obnoxious posts.

Or the third way.. make them own the consequences of choosing to be a ‘publisher’ rather than a ‘platform’. Take away their exemption to the libel laws and make them financially responsible for every tweet and post.

Some conservative needs to start another platform. The president could continue with Twitter but also copy his posts to the new platform until it takes off. He’s a marketer, he could start putting some of the bombshell Tweets exclusively on the new platform and the media would have to monitor it.

As most conservatives leave Twitter, libs will follow because it makes no impact for them to advocate their sick agenda with all the other sick people being your only audience. Most of all, libs would migrate just so they could attack conservatives.

Yep and those paid Soros trolls and every other libnut with an axe to grind against this president. It would be the greatest mass migration of people since last Tuesday at the Mexican border.

Twitter may be a monopoly but it is not a state-sanctioned one. We do not need a government solution to this.
