A man was arrested on suspicion of possessing, selling and manufacturing assault weapons, according to the LAPD.
The suspect was placed into a car and transported by authorities to an unidentified location.
A spokesperson for the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in Los Angeles confirmed a joint investigation with LAPD was ongoing.
Police told CBSLA more than roughly 1,000 firearms were recovered at the scene.
Thousands of rounds of ammo were also found at the home, according to CBSLAs Tom Wait.

I noticed the photo shows the “assault rifles” are shown prominently in the foreground. The rest of the firearms appear to have wooden stocks.

Not likely. That dude lives in a $7.7 million dollar house in celebrity land.
In a free country that would be one heck of a yard sale! Sad to seem them all stacked up like that getting scratched. Especially the wood stocks on the cement. I guess most of them will end up in the evidence room and then destroyed. Except for some of the nicer ones that will somehow get miss-placed.
No matter how many gun laws and background checks you would have in place this would circumvent those systems.
Criminals are the ones who commit murder.
The rest of the gang who are law abiding can be checked up the wazoo and will never be a problem.

I would like to learn much more about this before forming an opinion. Anonymous tip? Of what? Let’s follow the case and see if this man was simply a collector, or involved in criminal activity.

I find the amount of ammunition to be abysmally small.
Most people don’t realize we can legally manufacture our own firearms.
