As the primary season ahead of the 2020 election heats up, Democrats are proving anew that theirs is the party of authoritarianism and top-down mandates, not small-“r” republicanism, liberty, and democracy.
Upset that his party is ‘allowing’ little-known candidates vying for the presidential nomination a place at the table for at least some Democratic debates, a former DNC official laments that there is too much deference and attention being given to “bullshit candidates” instead of the “leaders.”
What’s more, the former official didn’t even have the courage to identify himself, as the Washington Free Beacon reported.

It makes no difference who is in the debates. Debates and even primaries aren’t required for picking a candidate. The results of debates and primaries aren’t required to be considered by the party. A party can nominate anyone it wants to nominate, period.
If they didn’t allow Bulls$%te candidates to talk, there wouldn’t be a debate.
He wouldn’t even identify himself. Which one do you suppose? Dean?
They’re not entirely wrong. Who the hell is “Andrew Yang”? Imagine a GOP presidential debate with some random dude up on stage who’s never been elected anything and has <10% national name recognition.
With that many candidates it can’t be a debate. Try a mini-series.

I blame the Clinton’s for all the little know candidates.
Bush 1 was supposed to be unstoppable. Then he was beaten by a little know governor from Arkansas, who then ran the party for over 2 decades. They all want to be the next, giant killer.
Andrew Yang is polling well, and getting donations, too...unlike, say, Gillibrand.
A lot of the Dem’s animus is aimed at Tulsi Gabbard. They even left her off one poll, in which she placed 5th. Called it an oversight. No antiwar/non intervensionist candidate will get the DNC nod.
Dem’s want a war in Venezuela, and Iran as much as the Repub’s.
